I already have a propane Generac that is on an auto transfer switch and a pair of Honda EU2000i's so its really a backup to my other backups.....

I purchased a few of the MEP series generators and I'm going to keep one for personal use. I have both an MEP-016d and an MEP-016b. They are both clean low hour units that work great.
I have a tractor with a loader so moving the larger sized "b" won't be an issue. Having a charging system...
I have an MEP-016D that is doing the exact same thing. It runs and is very loud compared to my other ones. It blows white smoke, surges, and back fires sometimes blowing a flame out the exhaust. I'm looking for advice on this one.

The pump was stuck and the RF box was also bad. The problem is that I'm still not getting power to the pump. With a jumper wire from the battery to the pump the unit runs great. Since the actuator kicks on with the switch moved to run am I correct in assuming my lower tank float switch is...
The RF box was bad and I bypassed it but I'm still not getting voltage to the pump. The pump was stuck until I took it apart and cleaned it out. The unit runs great with a jumper wire from the pump to the battery so I need to figure out my voltage problem. Where should I look as potential...
The pump was stuck and I got it back together. The RF box was also bad so I cut it out but the pump still isn't getting voltage. I used a jumper wire from the battery for the pump and the unit runs great but I really need to figure out why I'm not getting voltage. When the pump froze up could...
I have one that has been converted to the Yanmar L100 engine and it has both a main pump and an auxiliary pump. I cannot get it started because the main pump isn't working. It started once when I first got it and died. It hasn't started since.
The pump doesn't have voltage going to it nor...
Is the only way to bypass the capacitor by cutting the wire between it and the pump? It appears to be a crimped connection and I don't want to cut it if I'm just to stupid to unplug it.

Yes the solenoid clicks back when the switch is moved into the run position. Are the auxiliary pump and main pump the same? I jumped power to the pump and it isn't working. Just as a double check I also jumped the auxiliary pump and it did work. It seems at this point I have a non working...
I'm having a similar issue except my throttle solenoid does activate when I put the switch to run. Which wires in that diagram would I check for voltage to the pump?
Thanks,

I purchased an MEP-016B from a guy locally who didn't know much about them. He wanted a generator for power outages and bought a few of them and was never able to get this one started. He told me it didn't run but he had purchased a new battery for it but hadn't installed it yet. At my...
PRI-D is a wonderful diesel additive for stored fuel. Retired boat captain turned me onto it and I also use the PRI-G for stored or old gasoline.
I've never ordered from here but they have good prices.
