MEP-016E Starting Issues

still having issues with the MEP-016E Gen set. Hopefully someone has some info for the problem I am having. It is a converted MEP-016B unit.

I have read in other threads when you move the switch to the "RUN" Position you should hear the auto-throttle adjust -- I do not hear this.

The fuel pump does not prime or show any sign of life unless I jump it directly to a 24v source.

It seems the gauges/electronics on the unit are "dead"

The motor will crank from the switch but that is about all it will do. If I prime the fuel line, or keep the fuel pump hardwired, it will run if I hold the throttle. It never picks up and manages on its own.

I have wiggled wires, and everything appears connected inside the head unit, any ideas to what may be keeping this from running? Ive tried the DC breaker switch and im really scratching my head here .. the thing has been in my garage for almost a year now so I want to get moving on it.

Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm having a similar issue except my throttle solenoid does activate when I put the switch to run. Which wires in that diagram would I check for voltage to the pump?

Thanks,

I’m having the same issue. The solenoid will not activate. If I move it by hand, it starts right up.

but I’m guessing it’s supposed to maintain 60Htz on its own?
