What are the first things on the project list? Congrats on the acquisition.

Weasling in with an Army CJ5 rebuild

Very cool. Any CJ with no rust is a rare find. Have you considered keeping the exterior the same? It might be a cool way to recognize its past.

    My m1009

That's about double the price that I am paying. Luckily, the 1009 does pretty good on fuel for an old truck as long as you keep the speed down.

Good looking truck. How are the fuel prices over there?

Looking for a Welder in Southeast Michigan

I am working on the shocks on my M38A1 and the front shock upper stud broke free from the bracket. I don't have a welder or know anybody that welds. If there is someone in the area that has a welder and can lend a hand, I would love to share some pizza, beer, and BS about MVs. If not, I can...

    M38A1 Front Spring Bracket Replacement

I took my shocks off to repaint them because they were white and it bothered me greatly. In the process I broke the welds that hold the front shock stud to the bracket. I see you can by the whole bracket assembly for about $30 but I don't know how to replace it since it appears to be riveted to...

    Recovered M38A1

It looks like it is in nice shape. Put up some more pictures when you get a chance. You should also get some ramps so you can just drive her up into the bed of your truck.

M38A1 running fine then dies, whats up?

No problem, let us know how it goes.

M38A1 running fine then dies, whats up?

In that case you should manually manipulate the chock valve at the carb while someone else cranks the engine.

M38A1 running fine then dies, whats up?

Did you make sure you have compression on the new engine?

    headlight guards

I don't think they were put on the A1's because the lights are recessed into the grill, unlike the 38 where they protrude.

Another one joins ranks of m38a1 ownership

Looks like you found a real good project. All of those 24 volt parts are quite valuable and hard to find so it is a big bonus that yours still has all of them.

    Mep 903

Is it possible to slow the generator for less output and more longevity?

    Mep 903

That would be awesome. Send me a PM when you have your new one up and running.
