Radio Rack
Installed the rear radio shelf this weekend... Sanded it, then used rust stripper and conditioner and then painted it. I am planning on making some sort of padded cover for it so the kiddos don't bash themselves up with it. I will post some pics when all is done.
I just made it from Craig over Rabbit Ears and Cameron Passes to Ft Collins and back. The only problem was Rabbit Ears I was in 2nd a few time to keep it at 45mph. This was without any load behind. I was a little sketchy but it made it.
Thanks for the replies... To answer your question Truck1, no I didn't have chains. I wish I did in some spots but my experience with the CUCV and driving it when I was in the Army helped me keeping from getting stuck. And to Kasper we estimated somewhere between 500-600lbs. She was pretty big...
So My 1009 was only at the shop for 2weeks and apparently they did the checks per the manual and everything was fine. So, no charge and I have my CUCV back... Sorry it took so long to get back. I do feel as though my IP is going out. I will let you know.
