Yeah, she has a charger and I believe she's already on that, just trying to find someone willing to find and fix the cause... the only person there she knew to ask basically told her "I don't work on old stuff, it's too hard".

I have a friend in Greenwood, about 15min from Fort Chaffee with an m1009 that's having charging problems. Both alternators have been rebuilt (I think) and at least one belt was replaced just before she drove it across the state from jonesboro. When she shut it off, it's deader than a hammer...
Swapped m1009 axles with an m1028 donor I bought, replaced differential oil with 75w90 full synthetic (plus additive in the front), all new front brakes, q78-16 TSL Swampers, waiting on a 6" lift so they'll stop rubbing lol. Added a 12k Badland winch, and next month will do a disc brake...
I'm looking at replacing the rear bumper on my m1009 with the step bumper from my m1028 parts truck. I'd like to mount a swingaway spare tire carrier. Knowing that the body sheet metal isn't made to support that weight, does anyone know a specific application that will mount only to the step...
Can you still get the co-op grip spur/ Gateway Buckshot tires? I'm swapping m1028 axles into my m1009 and would really like a set of Q78-16 buckshots, but the only thing I can find online is Super Swampers. Interco makes a good tire, but I really like those DEEP lug bias Buckshots.
But it's spinning as soon as I make the battery connection...no key in the ignition. isn't that wire to the solenoid supposed to be de-energized until the key is turn d?
