    I have successfully removed a crank shaft out of a 71' Multi-Fuel. It isn't too bad if you are a toll hoarder such as myself. Remove the transmission and all drive plates (obviously).     I got all mine off with socket and a breaker bar, and on the driver side nuts I used a regular 7/8 wrench. All are broke loose.

    I do not know how to show my threads on here. But this is exactly what is happening to my deuce. Same type. i am currently waiting on pulley oil seal o rings for the center pulley. Gonna flush it and check to see if I need to get another compressor. I ran my deuce on low oil for too long...

    found some shaving in the oil canister housings. so I took off the compressor and then the oil cooler next.
