Replaced that relay and now most of my electrical works! I have a new old stock wiring harness to replace the chewed up wires, after that I should be in business. :) Thanks!
Thanks for the help everyone! I couldn't get the relay locally so I am waiting for one to arrive. Pulling that alternator was a chore! I probably should have dropped the front bucket and tilted the cab.
What car batteries are you guys running? I have the wrong size lead acid batteries right now...
I tried printing that diagram 5 times last night, it needs to be printed at staples like you said. I found rodent poop on the passenger side floor, but so far have been unable to find any damaged wires. I will probably pull the alternator and volt meter that relay.
Problem has been fixed! My dad (heavy diesel mechanic) was able to get the pickup tube removed. The tube was fine. :( We put a small fuel pump on the pickup tube to send extra fuel and keep pressure in the lines. While I didn't fix what is causing the problem I did removed all the symptons of...
I purchased a FLU419 over the weekend, it is amazing! My engine starts instantly and runs great, trans is solid, hydraulics and hydraulic tools work well. My problem is that no electrical system is working. I replaced all the relays and fuses I could find. My on dash voltmeter does not read any...
The entire vent line was replaced with a brand new line. Hooked an air compressor to the old vent line and blew air through it. No air came out the other side. Old vent tube removed, new tubing put in its place.
My truck did have a clogged vent tube. It has been fixed. There was no sealing compound on the pickup tube elbow, I added some and put it back together. I left the tank 20 gallons low. I am going to drive it around and see if I notice any difference. If it isn't fixed I think I am going to try a...
Truck runs perfect pulling fuel from a jerry can. I will replace the air filter, I have a spare. Checked the pickup tube after draining the tank. Looked down it with a flashlight and saw no signs of damage or corrosion.
My truck runs perfect on a full tank of fuel. After I run through about 4 gallons of fuel I occasionally begin to get air in the fuel line. At half a tank I can drive 30 seconds at fuel throttle and then air gets in the line and it looses throttle until more fuel gets into the line. At 1/4 tank...
I have an extra water meth kit from coolmist and a 10 gallon tank. I will be installing water meth on my truck. I live at 6,000 feet above sea level and have mountains to climb to 10,000+ feet. I am installing the kit to keep EGT down on long climbs.
My engine is 225hp mechanical injection. I...
That would be funny! It was always cool watching the HIMARS stand up while I was in Afghanistan. I never got to see them launch a rocket. I did get to see them impact.
I think the MRAP wheels are a different bolt pattern. I will probably just switch them to my current wheels and make the CTIS work as intended originally.
I have these wheels currently on my truck and will be switching to the wheels in the second photo. Is it possible to get the ctis to work with the newer style wheels? Or am I better off remounting the new tires to the existing wheels? Also does anyone know if a forum dealer has some banjo bolts?
I have the cab moved down to my mechanic. He has a cab crane for changing semi cabs, I figured he could do it much faster than me.
I did make progress inside the cab. I sorted out most of the electrical. I removed the HIMARS cables that were dangling all over. I also got the seats bolted in...
I have the electrical connections for it, however, I don't think that system is available for sale to civilians. I am going to try to reuse the electrical for the air overpressure to run a inverter for 110v electronics.
