SAM - or the System for Award Management is the single source for the entire federal government for tracking debarred persons/companies. They receive debarment information from every federal agency that is involved in procurement/law enforcement. Sent from my BND-L34 using Tapatalk

My understanding is that it's a process to convert, but it can be done. I think these two are going to get converted so that they can be used in an industrial application.

Thats good to know - crazy to think that the government bought 100k worth of engines that they never used. Hopefully they go to someone that will get some use out of them.

Hello Everyone! I just picked up two of these brand new Detroit Diesel 8v92TA's. They aren't re-builds - they were just never installed. Any idea on what they might be worth? What are the different applications other than HET? They are both electronic engines. Thanks in advance!

By the way - I wouldn't contact DHS - I would contact the nearest CID office to where you live. They are the ones that are going to come knocking if they find out that you have that.

Rustystud, Isn't this a big engine for a 10k Gen set? I would think it would fit 30k????

Great info. Looks like this one may be filed into the "got burnt" file. Hopefully I can at least break even. Do you know of any other applications for this engine, or is 10k Gen set about it?

Not sure that I agree with that. I routinely sell things for more than I buy them for at auction. Sometimes I pay too much and get burnt..... such is life.
