    MEP003A no electricity generated

After getting the 12V wired to the correct spot (long sad story) the gen is putting out voltage. So I will be needing a VR. Where would I obtain one of these new style SX 460 VR's?

    MEP003A no electricity generated

I owe you an apology, you were right about the wires sort of, I disconnected the correct wires but I connected the 12V to the wires instead of the terminal board. when I connected them correctly and started the engine I not only did not kick the breaker it produced electricity which I guess...

12V flash wire to what, I get that several of you want me to manually flash the gen but someone is going to have to tell me what wire to flash. Every wire is marked and the TM identfies every connection, so if someone knows what that is just tell me please

I disconnected and connected to 12V source the two wires the TM directed me to on page 151. If they were wrong I don't have a clue which two to use. The location and numbers on wires were exactly as the TM said.

    MEP003A no electricity generated

did a manual field flash by turning switch to start while engine running at 1800 rpm but it did not change a thing. Tried to isolate the gen and reg per page 151 of TM but my front panel breaker kicks out, I'm stumped

    MEP003A no electricity generated

MEP003A no electricity generated On page 151 of TM Chapter 8 there is a test to isolate the trouble to gen or reg. after connecting 12V as suggested when I try to start engine the breaker on control panel kicks and I lose all DC. Before I search further does this mean anything to anyone? Lee

You'll need to get more detailed, Munchie. The last time I flashed a field I was running as fast as I could during halftime at homecoming game in high school:)

    OK I checked voltage @ 120V outlet 0.47V, checked across L1-L0, 0.47V, L3-L0 0.47V, across L1-L3 0.94V, at reconnection switch leads going to main breaker 0.39V

All great advice, I have downloaded the TM and have read through it several times. Will post the results of the troubleshooting techniques discribed therein.

    MEP-002A hi rpm

MEP002 hi rpm Sounds like a governor problem, if it is similar to the 003a engine only 2 instead of 4 cylinder the flyweights are under the front cover. It's simply a plate that moves out with increased RPM against a forked rod with a reaction spring seen outside of the cover. Something may be...
