    Help with HEMTT

I saw a picture of a model of an M37 in 6X6 configuration, in a book written by Zenthmeyer, many many years ago and built this truck based on that picture. I had discovered a way to mount a new model M37 transmission to a Mopar V8 and dropped in a 360 V8 wth engine driven air compressor and...

    Help with HEMTT

I found the NSN: 4820-01-193-1762 Gringle made a reference to a manually and electrically operated control valve for a crane. I wonder what series number of truck this applies to. I've seen pictures of all kinds of HEMTTs. Thanks everyone.

    Help with HEMTT

The small bag has some o-rings, plstic plugs, and a rod threaded atboth ends. I'll include a picture of the backside . It has some sort of threaded stub piece I assume the rod threads into and the solenoid has the actuator rotate the stub shaft to some degree. Thanks Gringeltaube reply and pic...

    Help with HEMTT

I hope this is the correct category of truck. I have a part that has been buried in my parts bins for a couple of years. It is NOS and I believe by the part number it is for the HEMTT family of trucks. The part number is 85570-06-24P. Before I list it on ebay I would really like to know what it...

    what 6 x 6 is this?

The transfer cases in WC62's and 63's were essentially the same transfer case as in the M37 and M715. There are some WWII Dodges that still have the original 1.5:1 low range gears although most were changed over to the 1.98:1 during later Depot rebuilds. The flanges are of course different...

    door locks

I just went online and I'm pretty sure it was H-9045 for the handle. I don't remember if I installed these or not on my personal dueces years ago. Good luck.

    door locks

Years ago I did some searching and found a keyed external door handle with a built in lock. I found them at Orr & Orr. I got a catalog from them almost a year ago and found they still offer the door handle. I liked it because the holes were the same distance apart as the M37 door screw holes. I...

    Bent up the Bow

I talked to John this afternoon about the bows, he mentioned my post here. He explained about the priority thing. I understand completely. He is still trying to get them in from the bender and will call again on Monday. He was pleasant as always but was alitttle concerned I may have sounded a...

    M37 Brake Question

I'll try a 100k pic. It's a little bigger when you click on this one. I left the top large bushing hand tight to fill the bleeder once it's attached to the master cylinder.

    M37 Brake Question

Here's a pic of the power bleeder I made up. It has a small hand valve at the bottom to help with not losing the brake fluid when removing the bleeder from the master cylinder. Hopefully the pic will be seeable.

    M37 Brake Question

I'm doing a break job right now as a matter of fact. Adjustin the brake shoes to get as reasonably close as possible before I power bleed them. I really don't worry too much as long as after the truck will stop. The idea is that after I have driven it several miles stopping it at short...

    M37 Brake Question

The brakes when adjusted properly are pretty hard and little pedal down travel. But there's the catch. Getting these old brake shoes to adjust properly is really tough. There are the bottom adjusters which place the bottom of the shoes close to the drum but also raise and lower the shoe to get...

    Bent up the Bow
