Thank you, everyone! @peapvp , I hadn't realized just how modular this type of switch was until your post. I was actually able to find another Kraus & Naimer switch for almost the same price, so I'm going to grab that and hope that the parts are identical - They look like they are.
Hello All,
The "88-21902" switch on one of the machines on my trailer has been sheared off. I was actually able to take the front of the switch off, use some vice-grips, and turn it so that it is in a matching single-phase position (using the other machine for a comparison), but does anyone know...
Thanks, both of you! Sending you both messages.
I've also noticed matching damage on both machines. The contacts all remain in place, but it seems someone has broken one mounting leg (the same on both) off the plate for the CR2. Has anyone seen this before or have an idea why it would happen?
I bought my first set of 802as out of Bragg area and plan on getting them both fixed up (one for me, trailer and one for a friend).
One starts up and runs, no problems! I threw some batteries, new oil, filter, and a little extra coolant in and it seems happy as can be, with the exception of...
Man, those are cool trucks! I'd really like to have one at some point.
I can't really say much as far as price goes, but I just sold an M43 with a bunch of spares for the same price, but it needed a LOT more body work than it looks like that one needs. Just based off that, I would assume the...
Hello all,
I've had my truck for about 9 years and I've hated the stock engine the entire time. If (and it is a big if) I have it running well, my passenger could still get out and race me to the top of the hills around here.
I'd love to do the old 4BT swap, but I have been keeping an eye out...
That thing is awesome looking. Maybe there would be a few other people like me that might drive the price above scrap? I'd love to just drive it in circles.
Clinto- That makes sense. I think I have seen that on USMC M37s before.
Frank- I assumed the fording cable was pretty standard. I have it on my M37 as well. What parts should I look for under the hood that would be from the kit?
Frank,
Thanks! Where did you find the parts to turn it into a C? Are you just going to leave it with the mount, or do you have a mockup recoilless, or? I will definitely stop by if I ever make it over there.
Good catch on my signature!
That is actually pretty clever, I like it. I was actually...
Clinto-
I looked at that link. It has remnants of an undercoating as well as the reinforced bars. I'm not sure what a sealed bellcrank would look like though. Does anyone have a photo of a normal or sealed one so that I could compare?
It also has skidplates... They don't look too poorly done...
Karl,
Thanks! They're all very different, and tons of fun.
I'm really quite excited about it. I've been working on a project with my friends CJ2a and it really made me want to get one, and then the opportunity just kind of came up!
Just added an M38A1 to my modest collection. Right now, the plan is to just get it operating well on the road (and off), have some fun with it, and start collecting the parts to do a nice restoration down the road.
From what I can gather, this is a USMC truck? The plates read Ord., but from...
