All meters are dc... even if it states ac input. Take an ac meter apart.. it has a bridge rectifier in it. You can print anything on the scale. All that matters is what it takes for full scale deflection. Amps, ma or ua. I will have digital backup indicators too... how accurate are analog meters...

I guess I should have said "add" a current transformer for the meter.

Specs on this meter states it works on 15, 30 and 60 kw gen sets... I know they all have different set ups for the safeties. No reason it won't work in a 10kw. I just need to see the prints on the others to figure it out, or install it and check the meter as per the manual. See how far it off...

The load meter is just an ammeter with a scaled face. Its just a matter of seeing what the meter needs and providing that from the generator without disturbing the safety circuit. I've been doing electrical and electronic repair and builds for around 50 years. Wiring an amp meter in a circuit...

Even if it is the incorrect gauge... its just a matter of replacing the current transormer... a simple connection and caculation will resolve that. At $50, I'm ok with it.

Volts, battery charge, and frequency. Not sure about the load meter because I haven't loaded it yet. Throttle cable broke and I'm repairing it. Thanks.

The needle floats ok. I have voltage at the meter posts. Bought a cheap one ($15) off ebay. We will see how it works. Volts, frequency and battery charge are bad so far. I haven't loaded it yet to see if the load meter works. Repairing the throttle cable first. Good info to check though. Thanks!

I have all the TM's. Found the prints... I thought the gen might be working with what I found so far. It sat outside unused for 2-3 years with an open exhaust. I was afraid that the valves would either be seized or pitted. She purrs like a kitten. Fired right up this morning with no pre-heat @...

Aquired a 803 from a local VFD. 2004, no reset, 99 hours. They claimed "ran when parked". Non runner when I got it. I found 2 stuck injection pumps. Fixed that and the engine runs fine. Oil, fuel and temp gages seem to function fine. I have 115vac at the convenience outlet. None of the ac gages...
