In installed a 20 gal tank from a late 70s truck on the right side of my M1031. Right now I only have it plumbed to fuel my diesel generator in the back of the truck but with the info you guys have given on the selector valve I think I may set it up as an aux tank as well. I have also considered...
I drove these when I was in the Air Force. Ours spent most of it's life at 25 mph or less. And yes They liked to remind you not to smoke ALL the time...I guess they were worried about jets catching on fire...go figure
Try this. Drill a small pilot hole through the inside sheet metal where you want to mount one of the wire holders. Next use a piece of wire to gauge the distance between the inside and outside sheetmetal. Choose a screw a little shorter than the wire and your all set.
We had a crew cab Dodge 4x4 assigned to our shop when I was stationed at Nellis in the 80's. It was the same as a civvy truck just painted strata blue with the registration number stenciled on the door and a number of decals in the cab related to airfield operations. The truck had chrome...
I decided to go with an aftermarket diesel genset in mine. I shopped around on Craig's List and located a very nice Generac 7.5KW generator. I am in the process of installing it now. It is liquid cooled and enclosed. It takes up about a third of the space of the original gas generator. I...

The cammo one was purchased at Eglin and the tan one was purchased at Warner Robins so it looks like they are both AF trucks.
Sounds like he may be willing to bargain...
Just thought a few of you down this way might be interested. The prices seem high to me but I guess that depends on your budget. They do look pretty clean. I have no idea who this is...hopefully the ad is legit.

My wife is a keeper too. But then again she has spent some time in uniform so there is a little green in her blood;) The first MV we bought was an AF M35A2. We were stationed in Germany at the time and we had a great time driving it around with the kiddos. She was all for it when I wanted to...
I agree 100% that if you have an MV you should get the manuals and study them. They have saved me a lot of grief with a number of problems. But they only go so far and that is where this site really shines. Thanks for the information.
While I am certain I do not possess the intellectual firepower or have the depth and breadth of experience with MVs as some members on this site, I do have to say that I can read and have, in fact, looked at these two manuals.
I am not as familiar with these manuals as I was with those that I...
