    E85 as alternate fuel?

Has anyone burned a mixture of E85 and diesel in their deuce? Im not looking for more power just as a cheaper fuel source since I dont have a centrifuge to filter out wmo. E85 is a great tool to absorb water but my only concern is it eating at the fuel lines. Can a mixture be ran safely? Say...

    What's your Deuces' name?

I named her "Vivian". Thought long and hard about that name. Shes a classy old girl that can still have an attitude once and a while and she knows it!

VERY great write up! I'm going to save this for this spring when I tackle my front brakes, bearings, etc.

5th gear noise. I am guessing this is not suppose to move.

Good to see we got her back together quick and she shifted into gear without having to adjust the clutch! Hope the new trani works well!

    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

Just realized I haven't given an update on the truck for over a month now. Progress has slowed a bit over the last month. I'm hoping it cools off here in MN this weekend so I can go get her this weekend and continue sanding and painting. After a lot of thought I did decide on a name for her last...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Still painting and sanding. Swapped my d turbo for a c turbo as well. She is coming along very nicely. Going to pick up new wood for the troop seats tomorrow or Wednesday! Also fixed my brake light issue. They were not turning on when I hit the pedal. Problem solved! It was one of the connectors...

Photos of the C-turbo (left) next to the D-turbo (right). A lot smaller hot side on the C, which is why it makes such a beautiful noise! I had always thought these turbos were single scroll instead of twin scroll. Twin scroll with a T4 flange for the win!

Yesterday I went and picked up a c-turbo and a few other parts from tie6044 Thanks Again Scott!! The install took about 2 and a half hours to do. The hardest part was aligning the bolt that holds the slobber tube (crankcase breather) on the oil return line on the turbo. Its kind of a weird...

Here is a cell phone pic that I snapped this morning. I'll take more with my DSLR this week of the progress. The black on the bumper is Rustolem rust converter and the white is Killz exterior primer. I thinned the primer with a little bit of mineral sprits and used my air powerd spray gun. For...

    Maxspeed3's Deuce Build Thread

So 3 weeks later I finally have the time to work on her this weekend! Went down last night and picked her up. She fired right up as usual and she seemed rearing to go! We got caught in a heavy rain shower (first time I've ever had her in the rain) It was pretty cool, although she needs new...

This stuff. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Klean-Strip-1-gal-Stripper-GKS221/100207981?N=ug#.UbCKr_nFVZE I do recommend a better sprayer bottle. I picked one up at Northern tool for 1$ and it works very well. The thinker you apply this stuff the better it works. Not sure why there are a few bad...
