thank you. It was all sprayed with a Harbor Freight HVLP gun at 17lbs of air pressure. the paint was slightly thinned so it could be sprayed at that low level of air.
1985 CUCV, M 1102 Trailer and a S-250 Shelter. All done with paint from Home Depot. Love everything about the paint. I’m all about trying to keeping it close to military as possible, but I work at a Depot and after smelling that crap all day and dealing with all the proper PPE just to touch up a...
Thanks, The truck is pretty in good shape, it's just the paint job flaking off. the only major rust is the compartment under the drivers seat. that panel is all rusted out. the truck has been converted to 12 by a bunch of 8 year olds. there are wires running all over the place. I plan on putting...
I am now the proud owner of an M37, Dated 1952. the fun begins, I am going to keep it as close to original as possible, doing some upgrades to the lighting with more modern military light. needs some parts that I do not have at the time. but at least I have one. going to send it off to media...
ok, I am just putting this out there, if your Generator / Alternator has a 1" diameter cable coming out of it, then just follow it to the external regulator, you cannot miss it, it is about the size of a half a loaf of bread (wonder would work). now I have never taken these apart, but that is...
if it is the 60 amp alt, yes, just remove all 6 screws on the back of the Alt and just replace that. saves you more money than replacing the complete alt.
ok, you said rebuilt alt, i thing you might want to see if you can get anothr regulator for it. it sounds like the alt is working as you stated that it does charge to 24 volts, but it sound like you need a new regulator so you can adjust it to 28 volts. just my 2 cents.
i have used that type before and had no problem with it. but you said you have tried to adjust it, all the way left & right and nothing happened? so you are saying that the voltage did not decrease? it just stayed at 24? something does not sound right.
I agree with phil2968, you need to adjust the alt. if it is the standard 60 amp alt, you need to go to the regulator on the back of the unit, look for a small allen head screw near where the wiring is going into the unit, remove the allen head screw, insert a small phillips head screwdriver and...
