    Scepter Spout Alternative

I really like these spouts http://ezpourspout.com/ez-pour-products/all-products/ They even have an adapter to fit the spouts to either a steel jerry can or a Scepter plastic can. Much better that those crappy EPA spouts.

    Value Needed 56-58 M38

Chevy steering conversion too. Lot's of things historically incorrect on this Jeep. I would have passed on this one as well.

Locker for rear differential M38 A1

Cool deal. Glad you caught it before it self destructed. I can't remember if the M38A1 had a cotter pin on the pinion nut or if it's a self locking nut. If it's a self locking nut, it really should be replaced every time it's removed as it is a one time use part. If you have to re-use it, make...

Locker for rear differential M38 A1

Did you remove the pinion from the housing? If the pinion is moving in and out of the housing, either shims were removed and not placed back in their proper location or the bearings are bad. If you only dropped the carrier and replaced the spider gears with the locker and didn't touch the...

Locker for rear differential M38 A1

I think you'll be very pleased. Having a locker, in the front especially, makes a huge difference in off road ability.

Locker for rear differential M38 A1

Yes, they hold up great. Have two of the Dana 25 units. One of the front of my 42 MB and another in the front of an FC150. Never an issue. Both are climbing SOB's!

Powertrax Lock-right is about your only choice. Awesome little unit and easy to install. They make one for a 10 spline Dana 44.

oil leaking from front of cylinder head

Thanks for all the help guys. I will make a wrench and re-torque the head and see if that does it. I'm not too jazzed about pulling the heads so hopefully that won't be necessary.

oil leaking from front of cylinder head

Thanks guys, I will try re-torquing the heads. Where is a good place to get the special adapter to torque the nuts under the edge of the head? No oil in the AF or vice versa. I do see some tiny bubbles at the edge of the head where the leak is but they stop when the engine has warmed up. No, I...

oil leaking from front of cylinder head

My Deuce has been leaking some motor oil out of the front of the head gasket. Not a ton of oil, but enough to annoy me and getting one of the coolant hoses greasy. Thought it might be a valve cover gasket at first but it is definitely the cylinder head gasket. Is this something major to worry...

One more off the bucket list. I got an M170

I got my passenger door frame from Brian Asbury several years ago. He told me he had a whole mess of them at the time. Might be worth it to give him a call.
