    Search original (NOS) military mirrors

i agree if you're talking about aftermarket ones.. The originals on my civvy '77 have been on it since new and still are holding up strong , same design, same size as my 880 and 890 .. But my civvy truck was built in canada and has a few oddities about it

    Search original (NOS) military mirrors

i haven't seen any in some time but am interested as well.. I got a few on epay in its early years.. I have also replaced just the glass but that leaves deformities all along the edges of the frame, they are same housing as the civvy ones.... Have considered painting over the "chrome" but...

    M62 5 ton wrecker

cabs are identical externally .. Hole locations for pedals , lines, wires, (and if gasser, starter switch) will be different or non-existant.. Deuce dash is also different than early 5T in same sense of hole locations for switches etc

A Tale of Two Fuel Tanks...it's a tankless job

okay, thus it must also be affected by altitude .. So,,, with the Whatsit being mounted high on the firewall out of danger of fording operations, you add your current land elevation plus Whatsit height on truck, then multiply the result of the given polynomial by 1/3rd, then square that, then...

Pascal's theory applies to art .. No wait, that's Pastel's theorum.. Got my Crayola-sponsored class mixed up with the science class i withdrew out of after two weeks of being totally confused by assumed correlations between whatsits, doohickies, thingamabobs, gizmos, thingy's, and wtf's .. But...

Couple of generations of 5 tons

i realize old post, so by now perhaps you've figured out just how heavy that M813's winch is and in addition how the M813 wheelbase puts more weight on the front axle, and that the number of spring leaves are same between them .. I have a M818 w/w and an M818 wo/w .. Yes winch trucks sit a bit...

You got it, it's a Whatsit. They are rounded, whereas Doohickkeys are more angular, but not always

    Starting procedures...M38 vs M38 A1 :)

always needed to do mine w/choke full-out until it wants to catch, then try it again with choke in and barely crack the hand throttle ... I always had to do same with the gasser 5-tons , regardless of the season or air temp ,, unless engine is already warm

MV of the month September nomination

well you aren't delusional cuz my 5-Ton gasser was headed your way until the fuel pump decided to start filling the crankcase and give it a complete internal flush .. wow did i ever catch that in time before any damage or worse yet, engine explosion due to the fumes .. After shutdown you...

A Tale of Two Fuel Tanks...it's a tankless job

on the left-hand tank (M39A1/A2-series, 78 gallon, OD, 1-each), what you have marked as "fuel return" is actually the inlet port for the feed line coming from passenger-side 55g aux tank fuel transfer pump on my M62(A2) .. The return line, as well as the feed line actually goes to the big...

A Tale of Two Fuel Tanks...it's a tankless job

I believe Eastern erred in the tank description/NSN. Yours looks like what's on the M39A1/A2 series of trucks.. Sorry i forgot to peek at the tank inlet/outlet ports on my M62(A2) and the M51A2's .. Hope to remember this tomorrow I have a 78g tank from an M809-series, though.. It sits...

    Dodge M882

looks awesome! .. just a fyi, and yes it's past my bedtime and very tired but no mistakes this time.. The M880's/890's and even the 4-door 1977-78 D200's & W200's the air force received did not have the AM radio.. Instrument panel is moulded solid in that area.. But don't sweat it, my...
