Figured I would post a quick follow up to this thread. I see it's grown a bit since my last reply, some additional questions have been asked and a PM popped into my inbox.
I am traveling for the next few months so M1009 is on the backburner. Then other financial priorities...
I did come across this thread before posting my question. I did read it in its entirety, but I still had a few unanswered questions. It is undoubtedly a GM14 bolt of some variant. I am searching for the application uses and dimensions of the 15595139. The seller of this axle here in town...
Guy in town has a 14 bolt that came from some gov yard. I forgot, but I went over and looked at it to scope it out. He mentioned that a few folks came by and were not interested in it due to it being too narrow for most applications. So, I took a few measurements:
~67.5" stud to stud
40.5"...

Curious if anyone has implemented any variation of a buggy spring on the M1009 or M1008. Chatted with a guy yesterday who build a few dedicated crawler rigs (that still ran on the street). He introduced me to the idea of a buggy spring.
Anyone fabbed together an interpretation...
If anyone has leads on axles in the southwest please holler! I have some leads in the shipping industry...
Also, I'll be in FL panhandle for the next two weeks. If anyone knows of crated up gov axles out there, please holler again!
Yeah I'm intending to scan govliquidations fairly...

I am trying to find the part numbers that reference the front and rear axle assemblies in the M1008. Searching for some crated up axles...
Rear axle part number?
Front axle part number?
My M1009 needs some stronger sticks to support the 37s or whatever will the fender after...
Um, its rather rough. With no shims the keys hanging out of the ignition were jingling a good one. With both the 2.5 and 4 degree shims, it is still a concerning shutter but not quite to that magnitude. I'm not driving it except for test drives.
Howdy Folks,
Regarding my driveline vibrations I've been researching solutions. One solution is Tom Wood's Slip Yoke Eliminator (SYE) kit for the NP208. This uses a modified NP208 tailhousing and a shaft.
I am curious if anyone has used this for their NP208. I would like to know how you...
I found these parts on Orilley's auto parts. They look quite similar to the ORD poly t-case mounts. I am still curious what mounts (manufacturer or vendor) you used.

Thanks for directing me to your build thread. Nice truck. I've really gotta think about axles at some point.
Hey, I saw you referenced changing Tcase mounts. I wasn't quite sure what you were saying. I have an outstanding order from ORD for their BG01006 mounts. Are these...
Ah, Ujounts, yes of course. This I forgot to mention. Haha pardon, my brain was shutting down at 0130.
When I first started troubleshooting this vibration I removed the driveshaft from the vehcile. I greased the splines in the driveshaft slip to ensure everything was greased at the slip yoke...

Just threw on a 4" lift kit assembled by ORD. My kit was composed of:
4" lift springs by tuff country for the rear
4" HD lift springs by tuff country for the front
ORD HD front shackles (yes, these deserve a BAMF stamp)
greasable components for all moving joints of the...

Quick question that was generated while trying to troubleshoot driveline vibrations.
Is the NP241 a direct drop in swap for the NP208 in an M1009?
Any need for:
adapter plates
shifter linkages
crossmember modification
rubber mount modification
speedo cable modification
Is...
