I drive my 5 ton every day, but it's not more than about 4 miles each way, to and from my shop. But, the drive includes city driving, and highway driving. I store it in a private, secure, storage yard. After running my morning errands in my POV, I drive to the yard, and pick up the 5 ton to go...- Powershift

6.2 or 6.5 in HMMWV
Quickest way to tell... the 6.5 has a bypass hose coming off the Upper Radiator hose, 6.2 doesn't. A guy at Gov Planet pointed that out to us.- Powershift

M931 tractor
Well, ya can't turn your 5 ton truck into a 2 1/2 ton truck very easily. LOL I have an M931-A2, with a cut down full size cargo bed. Maybe that's what you're meaning, and that's probably the easiest route to get a cargo bed on your tractor frame.- Powershift

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?
My 5 ton, and a friend's HMMWV, are on display for Memorial Day today at my shop. Today means even more than usual for us, as we just lost one of our instructors last Weds. He was a true brother to us all.- Powershift
