Thanks, they all say "contains refrigerant".
The appeal is the price and location. In the past, they've gone for a lot less than a consumer unit, and cheap enough to be throwaway. Of course, hidden costs of down time are relevant, too.
I'm looking at possibly purchasing an R22 milsup Air Conditioner. Model/Part No. S9150-18KH-1
These are 220v, single phase, 18k btu units. Looks like that's equal to 1.5 ton, which is a little more than I need.
This unit will be used for primary cooling of a radio transmitter building. 64...
I need a CUCV hauled from southern AZ to PA, any time in the next three weeks after next week. Possibly sooner, but will be a little more complicated.
Google earth says the trip is about 2337 miles. Anyone making an unloaded trip and able to send me an estimate and timeline?
Thanks!
I need to pick up an aircraft stand from the Chambersburg site.
It's 5' wide and 14' long according to the specs.
If someone could pick it up from the site and store it, I can pick it up one evening.
If no one's able to do this, I'll be making the trip next week, and can fit additional...
I have a fine mesh screen (basically window screen) over the air exhaust grid which keeps out large debris, and I keep a piece of plywood siding over half the opening.
So hopefully, the drains will not clog because no debris should get through the screen, and snow will only fill half the...
I added soundproofing material to my 803 when I had it apart for some cleanup. It helped a lot.
I added Mass-loaded vinyl to several panels, and inside the center upper cavity (where the contactor and current transformers are). I filled large gaps with expanding poly foam (Great Stuff) as a...
In the quest for load for my MEP-803a, I decided to build one into the machine. It's tough to see pics, but as I did other work "under the hood", I bought kiln heating wire, and coiled it in front of the radiator. Wire it into an additional contactor or the output lugs directly, and you have an...
I thought a lot about this in order to reduce electrical load on the genset, since I have an electric hot water heater.
Somewhere, I have a schematic/drawing I made of an exhaust system with water coils that would capture reject heat and stay isolated from the genset; so no overcooling of a...
The ground is for safety than anything else, but actual safety, not lawsuit-protection safety. It's very dangerous to run any power generator ungrounded because you, or anyone obliviously touching it, can become the ground if the equipment is shorted or miswired by the user.
I usually don't...
Thanks guys. I did sign up at the Zone a few weeks ago, but forgot all about it.
I like the divorced tc, but yeah, I would like to replace it and get a little more highway speed.
I'd love to put a diesel in it, too.
I have thought a set of CUCV axles would be great, but that's farther down...
