HET M1070 Barely Moves, No Guts

Check for clogged fuel lines or filters. Any debris at the bottom of fuel tank?

1971 M818 that I did Super single swap with 16.00r20's.

Take a photo of the different MRAP or HEMTT wheels you have. There are several types, some may or may not work.

    M939 series truck N14 swap

It's a 5 door cab (two cabs and a stretch in between). They did make a couple trucks that were a factory double cab to haul boats for the navy, but not sure where they ended up.

    M939 series truck N14 swap

I'm working on making a M916 into a expedition / camper vehicle. It has plenty of power with the Cummins big cam 400. I have a S-280 shelter to go on the flat bed. The M916 or M920 would be a good platform to start with if you want something this big... they make the 5 ton look small.

    M916-M920 Tech & Tips

How do I check freeplay in the cylinder? The grease fittings around it seem to be well lubed. The steering box is solid, no slop there.

Did you rebuild the pumps or find replacements? Does anyone have a good power steering pump for sale?

    M916-M920 Tech & Tips

How hard is the steering on a M916? I have a 1980 M916 with 16's that seems like I have to put a lot of effort into turning the wheel. For example making a right or left turn at an intersection requires some muscle. The only other vehicle I have to compare it to is my M1078 which you can turn...

    53” 16.00 R20 YZL on 2005 M1088

Do the tires rub at all with the wheel fully turned? It looks great!

Commercial Truck Cab on a 5 ton

Commercial cab on a Caiman (not exactly a 5 ton), but still interesting in a Mad Max kind of way. It was for sale in Texas.

Hydraulic Control Manifold breather releasing air

So this ended up being an easy fix. When I went to remove the "CAB" cartridge from the manifold I noticed it was only finger tight. Gave it a good cleaning and checked the o-rings and reinstalled to correct tightness and now no air is leaking from the manifold breather. "CAB" cart removed...

Hydraulic Control Manifold breather releasing air

Is it normal for air to rush out of the Hydraulic Control Manifold breather when the cab air bags are activated? I haven't had working cab air suspension since I got the truck because the passenger side bag had a leak in it. I just replaced the passenger side air bag and set the controls on...

    Vibration at idle

The white faced gauges were in the truck when I got it. The previous owner probably added them, but I've seen some trucks come out of surplus with some gauges like that, usually not all, but some that were replaced during its service.

    Vibration at idle

Just wanted to post a follow up on this. Someone replied that I should make sure that the cab wasn't sitting on the engine since my cab air ride wasn't working. That is exactly what it was doing, the hose clamps on the uppermost hoses were touching the underside of the cab and made a little...

Sound the new style air dryer makes?

Your description of the sounds is accurate. The new style is not as loud and forceful sounding as the old model. I kept my old one as I like how it sounds and rebuild kits are inexpensive.
