yeah, the respool after the job I get and thats easy, I just drag some deuce tires/rims.
so is it common to have to stop mid recovery to realign so it spools right? is there some sort of add on I can find so I can do the recovery in one session without constantly disconnecting and realigning...
How do you guys get it to spool back up correctly, if pulling in under load, it bunches up on one side to the point of almost getting stuck, and even with thick gloves, there is too much tension to guide it so it will spool right.
I need some sort of guide, what are you using or what do you...
yeah, id say 17s are pushing gay on a truck...
at 15psi in the back i was getting crazy wheel hop, at 5, the tires literally were not even half as saggy at the front, from looking at it you could not tell they were aired down in the back, there is so little weight back there. Nowhere near...
I aired up with the onboard air, used a glad hand hose from my buddys peterbuilt. Did not take as long as I expected, left the rpms up around 1500 and went to town, aired up just as fast as a real truck would, my compressor works pretty well.
15psi wasnt cutting it, dropped to 5 in the back and 15 in the front, and thats when things got fun!
Pix and stuff here http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/57257-deuce-sand-pix.html
Sorry I did not get to spend more time with you guys, two of my friends got stuck and ended up dragging them out...
We keep the southern spirit alive out here, redneck to the max haha. I should post up the rest of the pix without the deuce.
Jonathan, we really did not get a chance to go anywhere, ended up cooking at our campsite, and mobbed pretty much non stop. The duece was running pretty much the whole...
So I went out to Pismo Beach to the dunes, and met YellowBronc but did not get to spend much time with him.
I aired the deuce down, 15 pounds sucked, so I dropped the back to 3-5 pounds and front at 15 or so, and it mashed up over down around literally anything except for steep dunes.
Didnt...
I was offline working on my brakes all of yesterday, took a day off work for the occasion, but she stops perfect now!
Thank you very much for the info CARNAC, and Bob H for typing it out
I will check out the number on the frame and check to see if the motor mount is bolted or riveted...
I have no title or SF 97. Going though a simply LOVELY process with the DMV trying to get this thing registered.
Where can I find the vin, other than that dataplate I posted I cannot find anything else. I would rather not start scraping the frame by the driver side tires, I have been told this...
This may sound like a really dumb question, and I have searched, but aside from the "VIN" number on the dash, I have not found the frame plate yet, and all the engine tags have no markings on them, like they put blanks on there that were not stamped with the actual details.
How can I find out...
