I’m probably way over thinking this but I’m going to be mounting a 250 pound crane with electric winch.
Easiest spot would be drivers side, front corner of the bed right above the batteries.
Is the truck already heavier on the left due to the batteries and driver?
If I mount it on the drivers...
Ok like usual, work gets in the way of important things like tinkering with a military truck but I did test brake lights this morning. The brake lights work while at the same time the hazards and blinkers do not.
Ypu might hate this reply for it’s noob lack of specificity but during initial trouble shooting “the” relays related to the hazards were blinking green during each attempted hazard flash. So it seemed I was getting power there.
I replaced those relays and the green “relay” lights still blink.

Nope. They are clearly both failing together. If they aren’t working I’ll usually put the hazards on so if they start working I’ll see the hazard flashing on screen.
Can't thank you guys enough. Not knowing the answer myself, I had asked my mechanic about the parts separating and he said it was impossible.
Seems I need a new mechanic more than anything else. So the "male" center portion with the single bolt and nut is the shock?
