5 Ton PTO Shift Linkage same as Deuce?

Thank you. Just out of curiosity - is the rear output of the PTO controlled through the same lever or is that separate?

5 Ton PTO Shift Linkage same as Deuce?

I'm adding a winch to my M813. I have everything but the PTO shift lever and linkage. Just mounted the PTO and l don't see where a commercial PTO cable assembly is going to work very well. Are the 5 ton and 2-1/2 ton PTO shift levers and linkages the same? I assume deuce parts will be much...

    possible 5 ton build

I had imagined powering the "trailer" axles off the truck. With the flange design of the axles, it would be fairly easy assuming the trailer is another 5 ton chassis. It would be a monster, but with log bunks on the truck and the back of the trailer, you could haul a lot of material on one shot.

    possible 5 ton build

I've had a similar idea, but not wanting to mess up my relatively clean M813, I was going to look for a basket case 5 ton with a long wheelbase and make a trailer. I would mount a loader on the front of the trailer so I can load the truck and trailer. If you're talking harvester as in...

    Death wobble...???

Make sure your frame isn't cracked at the steering box. I don't know if it was a problem with MV's, but civvy chevies were known for it. Death wobble can be a huge pain to diagnose. Things like steering stabilizers sometimes hide the issue. It doesn't take much - one worn or loose component...

    Running 1 odd size tire?

I'm running 14x20's on my M813 and have already used my spare. If I were to blow a tire could I run a 9x20 on one of the rear axles to limp home, or am I going to have a problem? An odd tire on one single driven axle will be compensated by the diff, but I'm not sure how tandems plus a driven...

HELP! Need M813 Brake Master Cylinder

Awesome - I'll bet airpacks are even cheaper AND easier to find than MC's! Any words of widsom on assesing the condition of the booster? As far as I know it does not leak, and this whole problem started with a mushy pedal and empty MC. What are the signs of a failed booster. The brakes were...

HELP! Need M813 Brake Master Cylinder

What would make the fluid "recycle" within the master cylinder? I did notice when the cap was off and I pumped the brakes fluid was returning into the reservoir. There was a stream that lined up with the reservoir cap. Is there some kind of check valve between the reservoir and bore that is...

HELP! Need M813 Brake Master Cylinder

On the end of what I'm calling the "plunger" (part rod pushes on) there was a disk with holes in it that looked like a revolver cylinder. It was flat against the end of the plunger and pressed on the rubber cap. Couldn't figure out what it did.

HELP! Need M813 Brake Master Cylinder

I didn't see a check valve anywhere. I pulled the clip off the back and the following parts came out in the following order: clip, thick washer, aluminum plunger, rubber cap, and spring. The plunger had a rubber seal on it which I expect was leaking because I had fluid spraying out the boot...

HELP! Need M813 Brake Master Cylinder

I just pulled the MC and took it apart on the bench. There isn't much to those things! About 2 pieces of rubber, a spring, and a plunger. Bore looks/feels smooth. If I can get the rubber parts am I good to go, or am I missing something - what else is there to rebuilding these?

HELP! Need M813 Brake Master Cylinder

I have a job to do with my truck tomorrow. Brakes have been kind of spongy lately so I pulled the cap on the MC - empty. Tried to suction bleed the brakes with strange results. Built a pressure bleeder from a weed sprayer and was able to bleed at wheel cylinders, but have fluid...

    Identify this?

Yes, it's an M103 trailer - originally would be set up with two generators. I have two of them for hauling firewood. Very similar to the common M105 trailer, but wider and longer. The added length is behind the axle, so they pretty much balance on the axle - not much tongue weight. I prefer...
