My major problem turned out to be getting a drill bit short enough to use a right angle drill to drill the frame holes. I had to cut some drill bits down really short and file the end down to fit in a 3/8 right angle drill.
I needed to source additional longer wires and crimp ends, but that was...
You want the one that has the actuation lever like this.
This one is a Delphi HFP906, rockauto has them for about 30 bucks and amazon about 40
Not the one that has it like this.
Photos shamelessly stolen from Rock Auto.
I have a 12k Badlands winch, not the Apex. I mounted mine upside down, using the cut down Harbor Freight mount plate, to the upper frame rail right in the front. I cut a hole in the front bumper and put a fairlead plate cover one it. You really can't tell its there. I put the control box right...
Compared to modern seats, the ones in our trucks are real easy to remove and change out the covers on. As long as you are physically able to remove them from the vehicle and have the right tools available, it's a pretty easy DIY thing. If you go the route of the covers and new seat cushions from...
Running it through the OE style radiator cooler second is fine. People will argue about anything, but your way is fine. It will likely not get overly warm anyhow in the cold weather through the main radiator, but in your cold temps, it could help.
I think you're chasing the wrong problem with the glow plug relay. If it were stuck open, it most likely wouldn't have blown anything. If it would have stuck shut, the glow plugs would have likely all burned up. If you are decent with a wiring diagram, you need to start measuring voltage at the...
I doubt it, really. let me grab a photo of where to check. Also i believe my wiring is probably not correct for a truck that still has the glow plug resistor, mine was gone and its all 12v here.
Pull on these wires near the little black round plastic barrels in the middle. if they are bad...
check the fusible links at the firewall. I had the same thing happen to me and it was a blown fusible link shorted out by a can of soup. Pull on them, if they are blown they will stretch and come apart
Rebuilding them is not particularly hard if you have some tools and are handy. I did both of mine and the only trouble I had was one of the bearings was seized onto the main shaft of the alternator rotor. I bought kits from somebody on this site. I really don't remember who it was, it has been...
We rode over there from the access road near the porto potty just to check out the place this time. Maybe one gate was closed, but the path near the field was open.
So two years in a row now, nobody has used the pavilion and the giant fire pit on the other side of the small tree patch. That area is part of the rented area.
