The schematic for the M915A1 worked well..once I got it printed out in on large enough paper to see it. You were right, all I had to do was remove the 24V harness from the alternator, pull the 24V lead off of CB8, and hook both 12V batteries in parallel and it worked like a charm. With the 12V...
The rectifier on the 24 volt side is out, and it costs $500 to replace. most folks i talk to tell me that those rectifiers are a train wreck. I have no need of a 24 volt system and with the 12 volt starter, it starts fine with a 12 v supply. I just don't want to maintain a costly 24 V system...
I found fig. 5-37 for the blackout lighting system and it should be of help. paragraph B on that page refers to a complete electrical schematic as well as the vehicle wiring harness diagrams in appendix D of that manual, but when i go to appendix D, it's not available. Is there any way to get to...
converting my m920 to 12 volt
Hello,
I'm trying to basically abandon the 24 volt side of the system on my rig. I've installed a 12 volt starter
and when I disconnect the 24 volt circuits that I'm aware of, I get a clicking relay in the dash.
I've looked at the m915 A1 diagram, but not sure...
Howdy,
I have an m920 that i've put a 12 volt starter on and i want to abandon the 24 volt side of the electrical
system. The 24 volt rectifier on the alternator is out, but the 12 volt side still works. I can't seem to find a
schematic on an m920 and when i disconnect the 24 volt portions of...
I have an M920 converted to a 4000 gal water wagon. I absolutely love how this thing goes, It's unstoppable! Recently the PTO developed a big leak while in operation and the driver didn't catch it fast enough and it dumped enough fluid out of the tranny to cause it to start slipping. we drained...
That's a good thing to know, Even if I don't pick this M917 up I might have to
rebuild the shift manifold in my M920 some time. Any suggestions on how to keep
my shift manifold trouble free?
The truck I'm looking at reportedly has a bad tranny. putting
a clutch in will be quite a job, so I'm exploring options.
No one seems to know much about the 7155's.
I was on the gov liquidation site and saw some allison automatics for m915, m916, m920, etc. I haven't seen any of those units for sale with allisons.
I found a decent m917 dump truck with a bad tranny (7155) and didn't know if
an allison was an option for that unit. Just wondered if anyone had...
My m920 is just started overheating & I suspect a sticky thermostat,
there's a housing on the upper right hand side of the engine that
looks like it could be the thermostat housing. The ntc 400's had two different
setups from what I gather. some had dual thermostats while others
had single...
I just put a 4000 gal. water tank on my m920, I want to paint the tank the same
as the truck. How can I get paint that is a similar match? looks like O.D., flat black,
& a brown/tan color.
Thanks for any help,
Parker
