Something else I keep seeing over and over but can’t seem to find a definitive answer on is the winch truck hydraulic System.
What is the pressure and flow rate?
Many users say the pto driven pump can’t be used for a hoist because it is only single stage and higher flow. I have also never seen...
@timberrrrrr Not sure if you are still on the site. Were you ever able to make a video with this in action. I have started a similar project and just found your post. I was very surprised to see you didn't use any rollers on the rails similar to commercial units. Have you every tried to...
I guess I misunderstood whether the different programs resided in the controller or in the ecu of later model trucks. I thought read general saying the higher psi would work on A0 trucks as well. As far as the over speed I guess that was wishful thinking.
I always wondered why my newer black box Dana/Spicer controller would always flash "overspeed" on my A0 dash when my original Green controller (which has broken buttons) would not.
I have to check my wiring, but are you suggesting that a wiring change could make this overspeed go away in...
So I pulled the speedometer from the truck. Good thing I did because I found a tiny little hole with a screwdriver slot that says “CAL” so questions answered. Anyways here are a few more pictures and part numbers.
Not a bad idea. I do already have a tach (winch truck), but maybe they make a round GPS based unit. I will have to look. Or just a universal programmable unit.
I think my 93 may have have been very early off the line. When I get a chance I will have to pull the speedo out and look for more information or branding on it.
If I was to install eco gears how would I get my speedo to read correctly? Before you say adjust the dip switches my 1993 A0 does NOT have dip switches. Possibly a replacement speedo that is adjustable? Thanks
Dang, I have got to get better at searching this forum. Everything is here, finding it is the issue. I ended up buying the same sensor from Dorman as it was cheaper then the Napa part number. Comes in today so hopefully my next post will be everything working again.
Thank you. Idk how I missed this. I looked up and down that sheet. I think I looked in the drivetrain section too much. I also just found the Oem PN in the TM pictured.
