    New seat options

Sorta.... I've put two 60/40 split bench seats Chevy trucks before. You gotta take the sliders apart for the original seat. The part that bolts to the floor gets saved. Then cut the seat brackets for the new seat down. Weld some 1in square tubing from one side to the other on the floor mounts...

Who has a lifted m1010 on here?

I ran 40s on my M1008 when I built it in 2009. 4in lift springs with longer shackles and a zero rate leaf in front. Use the zero rate to move the axle forward 1.5 in to get your tires out of the firewall. In the back I used a shackle flip and some Hd shackles with a zero rate to level it out. It...

    New M38a1 for me

Later model tub with an early chassis. Later fenders with the early grill. The right fender has a 1/4 inch of bondo. Early battery box cover with random odd sized bolts to hold it down. Even though the loops for the strap are still there. The seat frames had the backs cut off to make way for...

Have fun and be safe. This is the kind of adventure you'll be talking about for years. My dad and I still talk about picking up my M1008 in Barstow from 2008! Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2

If you don't need a CDL to drive the truck in your home state, you should be fine with a trip permit and your regular insurance. Just bring one of your insurance cards with your current info on it. You might call your Insurance company too. As far as the scales go, I think the only northbound...

    New M38a1 for me

I know you guys are gonna hate me... But my resto-mod went snow ball on me and turned into something more... The F-Head blew up after the brakes failed on me a couple times. I wanted to put a 4-speed in it anyway... Now ive got newer axles, transmission, transfer-case, and engine. Of course...

    CUCV Crew Cab?

Nothing new to report... I'm still acquiring parts. The main difference between the frames is the spring hangers. The front hangers need to be added, and the rear ones switched since the 4x4 ones are taller. Also the transmission hump is flatter in the 2wd... Now if I could get the engine swap...

    1008 lift

I had C rated 40in LTBs on my truck when I first built it. I've hauled lots of firewood with it and never had problems.
