All right everyone sorry for the delayed reply. So I over layed a wire with no change. I cleaned the thread tape I had on the temp sensor off and re installed. No change. I then added a ground to the temp sender body right to battery ground along with doing the same for the gauge.. No change...

Well I drained it and measured what I drained. After 7 quarts all is good.

So I serviced my 1990 m925a2 truck the other day. Tag on the dash says 27 quarts of oil. So I went ahead and did that and it was way overfilled. I checked a tm and found it says 20 quarts for the 8.3. So why did my tag on the dash call for 27 quarts? Anyone got any ideas why they are conflicting...

So I figured out it's an issue with my shutterstat. I put all new o rings in it. Put it back together and when boiling in a pot of water, you can see the assembly moving but no air comes out of the out port. Ideas?
