M146 conversion - Spacial Transformations style

I touched on that in post #19. I'm not a big fan of bathrooms taking up space in live-in rigs. I've spent over 30 years living in rigs and never had what most would call a "bathroom". Sometimes a small cabinet w/ a slide out portable toilet, or a shower curtain ring mounted to the outside that...

M146 trailer recovery and restore/RV conversion

I just spent some more time w/ my TM and couldn't find that referance anywhere. I'd always figured that was what would have been used just never saw it mentioned.

    M146 RV Conversion

Is that a folding foot loop on the front of that box? In case you have to climb up under it Now on Camoyj7's it would make sense.

    My M146/future camper build.

Very cool! Are you going to have a probs w/ the landing gear lifting high enough, or being too extended? Or is that something that's getting mod'd? And, if you decide that you're parting out the other one, put me top on the list for parts.

M146 conversion - Spacial Transformations style

Rayzer - Went through the TM again and you're right about the ac connector. I've been looking at the one off the She Beast (M109) and thinking it was the same. A little ass-uME-ing on my part. They're NOT the same, close, but not. Don't know why I thought the connectors on the shop vans were the...

M146 conversion - Spacial Transformations style

But if I recall you redid all the electrics. I kept everything inside intact and was just hopping to change the input. I know the inside is 2 wire w/o ground. I was thinking the same thing, ground rod. Might have to do some searching.

M146 conversion - Spacial Transformations style

 No really I'm interested, being that I have 4 of them around me right now and I need to power them. Most from shore power, mine I'll do diff when that one comes around.

M146 trailer recovery and restore/RV conversion

I'd say he was refering to the four lifting points that we have onthe trailers that seem like they would slide out for lifting. In the end of them is a threaded hole. I had the same thought, that there was something that threaded into them so that they could be pulled out.

I'm hoping to put that inside the housing that I can't get the other part out of :)

M146 conversion - Spacial Transformations style

Rayzer - I think that you're talking about the plug. I'm talking about the part that's mounted to the trailer.

    My M146/future camper build.

WoW! Is that the easiest way to do the lift, or do you have other reasons for doing it? I woulda thought blocks, . . . but what do I know.

M146 conversion - Spacial Transformations style

Having some problems w/ the ac input. The piece on the front of the trailer that the genny plugs into. The one on this trailer had been broken before we got it. I have another one that I pulled off the She Beast. I'm wanting to mod the receptacle inside it w/ something more civy. Prob is that I...

Now it's mostly seen like this, or fortifying the walls of a city in the wastelands I guess it took two posts :) Details are in the build thread, if you want them.

Steel Soldiers MV of the month - June VOTE HERE!

She Beast Ok, no campaigning for me, just this one post to show some features. It started out like this And she was pretty happy to get it, Then I worked my artistry on it, inside And added some mod's to the outside

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

Thanks, as far as weight, the trailer is data plated at just over 2 ton, The shelter is plated as 2 ton w/ all of the equipment installed. I'm guessing maybe 1 ton empty. You're pretty good at asking me about things in the corners of my pics, guess I'll have to pay more attention to my cropping...

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

So first thing for me was to make a deck so that I didn't kill myself climbing up and down on the trailer. Had a bunch of wood that I'd resourced, so I made a short porch. :) After the basics are done I'll come back and make it so that it will slide out that extra 5' when I extend the...

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

The Draggin's pretty happy w/ that much weight in the back, . . . it's me. I get out running these dirt roads and tracks around here, then all of a sudden I'm like "chit my stuff is in the back!!!" Usually right after I hop it over some rut or ridge! Now that we're back to it just having the...

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

Thanks, . . . now quit smiling at me like that ;) For me this is the frustrating part. I'm not a metal worker, I just see how I want it to be and then spend a bunch of time annoying my friends while they work :)

    My M796 Work Trailer/Camper Build

It's finely going to happen, I'm getting the shelter off the back of the Draggin'!!! Been planning this for awhile and I think it'll be easy and smooth. I roll over to a buddie's shop. He's been doing all the work on the trailer and today we'll see if all our measuring, and planning, and...
