I read in a past post ( which I can't find again ) about hardening the genset by grounding/tieing all the power output lugs together ( LO,L1,L2,L3) and keep the master switch on and also have the unit hooked to a ground rod that is seperate from the house/barn power supply ground rods. Did I...

OK
After pulling the front cowl on my 003A to get to the VR, I noticed what I believe is the capaciter with a disconnected wire, From what I've read one wire should be run to ground and the other to the red taped wire on the terminal block..Right? Also when I go and...
Pulled off some of the ASK panels off my 003A today to get to my DC volt reg to which having the panels out of the way gave me a chance to open the cowl door by the cyl heads  Mister mouse has been busy., I also found two glow plug connectors that had come unhooked.
OK
Had lots of box steel laying around so instead of paying $150 or so for a boarding ladder....and the fact I'm cheap!:-?..... Now if I could only knit then I'd have me a cargo top [thumbzup]
Getting ready to drop the pan and install a new gasket on my A2, being there seems to be only rtv there now., Other then a general look around is there anything specific to these engines I should check, change ( retorque?) while I have it off.

I'm perplexed( had to look that word up)
I have oily snot running down side of block and also out the turbo elbow., at first it looked like it might be coming from #1 cyl exhaust so I thought ( hopefully) that maybe injector was not working/spraying correctly so I changed it out with one of...
I drove the deuce some more today with my new to me transfercase, I went and engaged the frt axle and got a lot of metalic banging and jerking/slipping as I was trying to get truck up a back slope into my barn., I have no idea how long this transfer has sat idle and I'm thinkin that sprags are a...
Well I finally got the deuce running today and pulled her out of the barn to let her run a bit to check for leaks after repairing ( among a ton of other things) the rad and changing out stat, pump, hoses and oil cooler gasket/seals. I had recently just put in a second T/C as the first would not...
just installed this on my 35, total cost was around $45.00 (w/ filter and shipng) bought the filter head ( wix 24770 ) from Fleet filter http://www.fleetfilter.com/Store_ViewProducts.asp?Cat=68
The only mod I had to do was drilling 3 holes in the old ( stock ) filter mount and reform the copper...
Hey
Have any of you guys painted your duece in WWII semi-gloss?, if so have you got any pic's you can post? Also is there a difference between AJP's WWII semi and Rapco's WWII semi paint. My 35 was originally 24087 but I was just thinking about doing it a little greener and I don't really want...
Alright I finished up the rear brakes and seals and moved to replace the bad rear spring u-bolts and from there do the spring seat pivot bearings., Well I had to cut off the u-bolts PIA but now I can't even knock out the bolts as they are so swollen and on top of that I can't get the spring pack...
While waiting on more brake parts for my deuce I decided to change the pinion seal(s), can anyone tell me what the torque setting is for the pinion nut on the drive flange, or which TM to find it in as I already did a search and went through the TM 209-20s.
Thanks in advance
