@ Olddominion, I actually made it a point to describe our little get together as a meet and greet / cookout .... I explained how we were members of SS, and that this was not a official SS event, just local members wanting to meet up and socialize. I was clear.
It all started with the...
The area I originally wanted to use was ok but the parking lot had quite a downhill slope to it, and after I visited the park yesterday I realized that even with parking brakes and wheel chocks , it just wasn't a good idea. And I began to question other locations which are available.... Then...
Well folks all was going well until the parks and rec folks said we needed group liability insurance in order to use any Henrico county park as a event spot..... I explained this wasnt a sponsored by an organization and that we are just trying to have an unofficial get together..... So much for...
Thanks Jason, for clarifying that..... Thought they were cap bolts originally..... But since I haven't had an oil pan off either I thought I was might have been wrong judging by M35s post.
Prolly more like $25 per rod, that sounds a lil more realistic for ARP rod bolts.... To me personally, if it meant keeping the old multi fuel in good running order, i would do it . Pull the heads, pull the piston/rods..... Magnaflux , install bolts, and resize , hone , re ring , and re...

Definitely interested in alignment procedure myself.... I still need to check my alignment.

Hi Tom.... Welcome to the site. I have no experience with disc brakes but I can offer ya a lil advice. To the left of this page under the online member listing , there is the "search forum" box where you can enter key words which will hopefully send you in the right direction. For you, i would...
Thanks heath, at first glance $1400 seams a little higher than I would have thought, but , to be able to run 55 @ 2300 rpms with 900 20 tires seems awful nice.... Considering the price of tires and rims vs the cost of overdrive...plus less stress on brakes by running stock tires vs taller...
I seen the post about the fifth gear overdrive upgrade.... Any idea what top speed would be with 9.00 x 20 tires... I'm going to do a lil research , but if anybody has price ,part # , and supplier info to pass along that'd be awsome. I am planning on doing a clutch/ rear main seal job on my...
Ive learned a lot of useful info reading this thread , I am certainly interested in the exhaust brake..... Which would certainly help slow these trucks down.... Thank you for sharing...
