Well a couple things come to mind. With al the vaugeness of the seller not knowing whats what, just that someone took it for a joy-ride and here it is.....needs the trans fixed and a windshield. What did HE/THEY hit? and are the police looking for a hit and run vehicle ? likely (BIG) that left...
Well it was time to take the trash bags to the dump sub-station. I was just about there and the low-air warning buzzer went off. Instant puzzelment....... so I try the brakes and holy moley, it would take a Gorrilla to mash them enough to stop this beast. Luckily this road is little frequented...
Some time ago, I had a 29 Model AA 1 ton truck that actually was my daily driver. Often times My landlord (with a 62 T Bird, restored) and I attended the local car shows. Mostly in fun, but on the off chance of a trophy. There were a couple tricks we used along the way to camoflage...
Sounds like that your evenings and weekends will be filled with many many hours of sorting, setting on a 5 gallon bucket looking, and alot of thinking. Sounds like a great opportunity to put something out of the ordinary togather. I'm kind'a jellious..... Heep us posted and show us some pics. of...
I just replaced an end on a cable from the starter ground to the frame. The frame side was vibration broke. I cut as close to the lug, and cleaned up the cable that I had left slipped a lug I got from Advance Auto and acid-core solder and a propane torch and heated and soldered it all togather...
Ok, the in-tank pump is working now and its 30 degrees in the early morning. Everythings frozen and I get in the Deuce and hit the button without the manifold heater, it hits and 'sorta fires, same as before the pump fix. Second hit, I use the manifold heater dash-switch, instantly fires and...
I use Rotella, but then my Daughter works at Advance Auto, so I get a considerable discount. One thing about synthetic.... I had a Buell motorcycle and had rebuilt it verry time consumingly and perfect. All was good, NO leaks as I took my time in that area. I went to the dealer and wanted to...
Well it seems that if someone is broke down and a member here and aware of the breakdown system here, it might be noted that it will take some time, mabe a fiew minuates, mabe an hour or more to get the help needed. But that help will likely come or a message that none could be found. Were all...
I'd think you'd not have the speed in the gnarlies to ever have them actually function much....on the rear that is. Unless you drive like you stole it...? Most of the stuf that you'll likely encounter would be for slow speed manouvering I'd think. Other than a top/frame mount, it should be...
Both ways will be expensive most likely, as their a bunch less numerous and sort of highly sought after, later models, different motor/trans, bed and such. It's typically not a first truck, unless you got the dough?
Mabe just the light plug cable so you have lights and turn signals. You probably wont feel it unless you happen to hit a pothole or ......bump in the road.
That would be my first mod, a Napa Muffler on any Deuce I got. I have mine that way now and its quite liveable. I also just got some rubberized spray-coating that I'm going to do the floor and under-dash front of the cab. I'll let the forum know how it comes out as to noise reduction.
