Pre-insection is the key... Check all wheel bearing for play, check to make sure ALL fluid levels are where they should be. Check air pressure if tires are at road psi spec. that will mean less drag on drivetrian. Bring some extra fluids and tools to change out a flat, Other then that just go...
My buddy just bought one here in New Jersey last night, The guy was asking $8500. My buddy said he was going to offer $6000. I got a text last night saying he bought it, i was asleep so not sure what he paid. I only saw a pic of the truck but it was a 66 with six inches of lift and 49's no...
Some trucks had the fdc bypassed, but from threads i've read on here you can still burn other fuels in the truck. You can dump most anything combustible into the tank the high compression allows you to do so. I've never ran anything but desiel and some motor/trans fluid from time to time.
Went to look at these trucks after work yesterday, Turns out they are deuces! I looked them over and they were very well beat down by the weather, I'd say no body parts would be useable. The farmer said he remembers the one running last in the mid 80's and the other he doesn't have a clue. They...
My buddy has come across to five ton tractors at a local farm, He says they have gas engines and have sat for a very long time outside. Iam very much into the learning process of any military truck, so a few stupid question... What would these be labeled as m????? Lets say they ran when parked...
It seems that the deuce just isn't a cold weather vehicle! I took my truck out on saturday, the temp was going to be a high of 28ish... So having the truck out before in cold weather i knew i should make a homemade artic front(cardboard painted camo). That worked well it Held 180 and had good...
BIGNICK i see your from Sewell, thats 5 mins. from me in mullica hill. I like takin my deuce out as often as possible! Most places illegal tho. Let me know if you ever wanna meet up and take a cruise:grin:
i used them on my 87 k-30 and like them, as for your steering i did crossover so a few turns of the drag link recentered my steering wheel. I see your concern, off road design will be able to answer your question, always been helpful with me.
I leave mine idling when fueling up, no key all are push button, doors lock but from inside only, if you lock the door and shut it then you are locked out. most still have a chain to lock the steering wheel to prevent joy rides! As for tagging good luck someone else i'm sure will know.
Yep thats your pinion seal, remove the four bolts holding your driveshaft slip. remove cotter pin then the large nut. then you pretty much have to destroy the old seal to remove it, then carefully tap in the new seal.
