So, given the fact that I don't have a right arm equal in length to that of a full grown gorilla, I decided to modify the transmission shift lever on my M35A2.
With the original bends in place, I was having to lean over to get the truck transmission shifted up into 5th gear. I've modified...
Here's the Ebay auction number for it: 260242332417 He currently has 5 available and is asking $365 + $20 for shipping.
The entire link (if it works) is...
Great info in this thread. I was suffering brake lockup problems similar to what was described at the beginning of this. My brakes wearing locking so hard that I couldn't get the truck to move period at some times. Turns out I had virtually no brake pedal freeplay which wasn't allowing things...
For the price, were you satisfied with what you got? I'm planning a swap to an airshift unit so I'm trying to figure out if I want to try and hunt down all the parts individually or just buy the kit. How do you rate that seller? Thanks :-D
I was at this event several years ago before I was a MV owner. Definetely a good time had by all. I'm going to make a point of being there this year with the Deuce and fortunately it's not even that far from home :-D
Sorry, I forgot the address the question about the cost of Line-X that was asked prior.
A couple of years ago I went in to a shop to ask them how much it would be to coat the entire inner tub of a 60's era FJ40 Landcruiser. The guys in the shop were very flexible and said they would do the...
Thanks Devilman, I read the entire post on your Diablo build; VERY NICE :-D That makes sense with what you're saying about the resonation issues. Line-X applied inside the cab will hopefully address that issue as Line-X is a rubber based product or something with similar properties.
What...
Good point about the condensation (yes, it rains in NW Washington :-D) I think I'm actually going to strip the entire interior and get it professional done with Line-X. Very nice stuff if anyone's seen it. I was going to do the bed area with it anyway so it only makes sense to take care of it...
Thanks for the info on the electric fans. I checked out the website and I'm thinking that may also be a good upgrade especially since the fans are 24V. Personally, I've never liked mechanical fans much anyway since they are always operating even when not needed and the old metal ones have been...
Really appreciate all the replies here. Where I'm at in the PNW it rarely gets above 85 degrees on a blistering summer day so the heat retention problem shouldn't be nearly as much as a problem as other parts of the country.
At this point I think I'm going to try some of the FatMat stuff...
Thanks for the quick replies. I'm still churing through the attached link but it is excellent! Thanks.
Just to be sure...there's no problems with re-routing the exhaust back the rear of the truck? I'm not very up on diesels/turbo's (I'm working on it) but the turbo performance won't be...
Hello all, first off, I'm a very new M35A2 owner and I would like to thank everyone for the tech info posted up on this site. With a few hours of searching, I was able to answer most of my own questions; thanks for sharing all the knowledge.
My question is this: Has anyone attempted to deaden...
