Hey man don't take offence, I think what doghead was trying to say is that you can do it with less assuming that all that was burned up was your gp card, but if you want to go with all new stuff what you have should work. Essentially all you are doing is switching 12v to the glowplugs using a...
Hey beanman, I wired up a light that is connected to the glowplug side of the relay so that I could see how long they are actually on for. It turns out they are on for 10 to 15 seconds after engine start , add that to what ever time the wait light is on before engine start.
So 4 seconds is...
Alright just an update,
If you want to change your fuel lines you'll need about 3 ft of 3/8th and maybe 4 ft of 1/4 . I didn't change the drain line so you'd need more for that.
Well just thought I'd update some of the things that fixed my problems.
The stall on deceleration was fixed by a new fuel pump. It was immediate, and very clear that was the problem.
The pulsing / surging continued however. So I dropped the fuel tank and changed the screen, which was...
You know mine does a similar thing at idle, but it's less a stumble and more a variation in idle speed, anywhere from 50 to 200 rpm. I think my problem is an air leak in the stock fuel filter housing, maybe you are having the same problem. You might try bleeding your injectors out and see if the...
OPCOM,
I was wondering if you have any ideas on where that website might be. I've been googling all morning. and I haven't had any luck. My recently aquired antenna base is a AS-3900. I'd like to shift the frequency range down into HF for ham use.
any help would be greatly appreciated...
Hi all I seem to have a transfer case leak, It's not to bad but over a couple of months it loses a couple of quarts.
Anyway I noticed it stopped dripping, so I figured it was time to add. it took just shy of 2 quarts, meaning that the leak is somewhere around the 2.5 to 3 quart level. It...
You know WVO is a great option, and very functional. I think it works better on older vehicles such as ours or the older Mercedes benz diesels. I think bio also has it's place in vehicle which have tighter tolerances and if you don't want to modify the vehicle for cold weather operation.
I've...

The US uses the ASTM spec, which as I understand it is very similar to the european spec.
Biodieses is itself a lubrication additive, so adding engine oil isn't necessary, in fact when the US went to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (less that 15ppm) many recommended adding bio as a way to...
Hey no worries, I'm sorry if I came off to agressive! Exchaning information is exactly what these forums are for. I happen to have several years experience with biodiesel, so I've formed opinions based on that experience, but it's not to say that I am an absolute authority in that area.
As...
This link doesn't work anymore, does anyone know what the manufacturer and part number for this is?
never mind I just found it.

You know I don't know if emusified is the right word. I think, and I'm not an expert, that it is simply held in suspension, or possibly in solution. As I understand them fuel water separators use gravity to separate the water by giving it a location to fall to and by slowing the flow down enough...
Water in biodiesel is definately a concern, If suspended or emulsified water makes it to the ip it immediately boils out and does damage. As with all things though the product is a direct result of the amount of effort you put in.
When making good biodiesel you need to wash out the leftover...
You know I sort of expected a difference in power, but I'm surprised to hear it's a large one. So are these 33 x 12.5's on stock rims? or did you buy wider ones specifically.
From the pictures I'm definately convinced that I want 33's. The nice thing about it is from the looks I can get the...
Hey The 1008 Thread was a great thread, how about it for m1009's I've been debating 33's with no lift either 10.5 or 12.5 wide, vs larger tires with a lift, but I don't want to ruin my mileage. Mileage estimates with pictures would be great!
