Lol lol lol...... I had twin 8-71 Detroit Diesels on the 65' EODSC that I was in charge of. An according to the PMS schedule we had to replace the oil in the ME's even thou it had minimal hrs. Wish I had the deuce then... lol lol lol

Most of our ships that we did sell to our allies, where the fast frigates (had to refuel every couple of days) and some of the WWII LST's that are still in operation with the Thailand Navy. A PT boat would be awesome. I don't think my wife would go for that one. I have 2 deuces & she noticed...
How about an optun lift...... is the US Navy close by? You would need to find an amphibious ship (LPD, LHA). They are built to transport over a thousand Marines, along with there vehicles. Maybe, just maybe.... they may have room available on the ship. Make sure your paperwork is in order...
Fair warning...... Do Not Plug the hole in the bell housing for the clutch when you see oil leaking...... learned the hard way..... Okay.... lay it on me.... dumb $ss. Good info. for the newbys.
I use mine all the time. For fun I go to my buddys property and pull out pine trees that are nearly 2 feet in diameter at the base & nearly 80 feet long. I drop the deuce in 4 low & yanks them out of the woods like nothing. I an even known to run to home depot to pickup a 2X4. I have 2 of them...

Dang USMC...... thats a long trip. I just got back saturday with my second deuce from San Clemente calif. at 1400 miles. Trip would have been uneventful, but do to my exhaustion and green horn experience.... it cost me some time & cash. The drain plug in the bellhousing was leaking 90w. me...

There are a couple listed on ebay ( one in Tacoma & one in southern Calif ). One is in pretty rough shape & the other is kinda rough & needs some work.
