Wigington surplus in piedmont S.C. has them for a very good price. They are very good people also. They advertise in Military vehicles magazine as well as Supply Line magazine from MVPA.
I have had the new style push button switch on my HMMWV for about two years, running 24v and love it. I have had no problems at all and I did buy it on e-bay. I guess I got lucky. I am planning to put one on my deuce and 5 ton.
I agree with Recovry4x4, that is a very rough truck but you could get your money back in parts sold off of it. I don't know of many military vehicles that arn't worth $500. Just look at the prices of scrap metal today.
I have an update. My friend looked at it last night and said it looks really good up close except for a gouge in the R.F. fender about a inch long and a few other little odds and ends but overall a good looking truck. He said that there was a sticker in it wanting $4,500 for it and had 54k...
Don't give up just yet, I checked with a guy I know who lives in Clinton and he has seen this truck from the road and says it looks great from there but will try to go by for me this weekend and check it out up close. I will let you know. The e-bay pics look pretty good.
