Should I buy this deuce I found, it'll be my first

The first Deuce I saw was at a small used car sales lot nearby and I, like you, had dreams of owning it and driving it... then I found the SS-Forums here and started conversations just as you have done and got about 100 replies back from MV owners. Believe me, you have found a gold mine just in...

    New Guy from Alabama

Good Day Mr. A-line! I live just down the road from you in Hanceville (south Cullman Co.). I am a new SS Forum member as well and have gotten addicted to this forum already! Be warned... you'll get sucked in like I did! I bought my first MV (M35A2) from Huntsville just a month back and have...

    The Deuce at work

Yes there is a safety strap and now we have additional straps behind the seats to fill the large gap between seat bottom and back-rest. We also put up the back lift gate before moving the truck up steep grades. I keep a dedicated staff member in back at all time near the rear to keep everyone...

    The Deuce at work

I got my deuce to do the work it was designed for... to haul people around. On my paintball field and they love the thing! Man that dump bed would make unloading players a lot faster!!! :-P I, too, look for any excuse to drive it to town for some sort of purpose other than just joy riding (I...

    stock deuce 65 mph

I bet any old Deuce out there could attain this speed plus some with a setup like I have here! Just strap 4 Jato rocket motors on each side and cinch down the seatbelt then "let=her-rip-tater-chip!!!" Don't worry about the passengers, they all signed a waiver... Get ready to register this in the...

A few pics of my M1009 with camo netting

Very cool rig! I should think even an idiot of a thief would think twice before stealing those tools off a truck that appears to be "ARMED for COMBAT"... besides, tools are for doing work with and no common thief will be looking at doing any work so I'd say they are safe.

    Sad state of affairs.

In Google Earth you can pinpoint exactly where the video was made by zooming in and referrencing the tall tree line and the position of the large warehouse. Boy that place is packed with vehicles of all types. Like the junk in my basement... they're worn out but too good to throw away!

Engine Temp Gage stays at 0 (zero)

Outstanding! I can do these things myself and get a pretty good idea if it's the sending unit or wiring or the gage. Only it's dark out there now  I will have something I can try in the bright morning light! (I don't really like working with my flashlight)... that's the nice thing about...

Engine Temp Gage stays at 0 (zero)

I had a chance to allow an oil drilling company to set up a drilling rig and pump station on my property with a 5 year contract for a couple of grand but declined... I might be sitting on a life-time supply of crude oil or natural gas... just 2000 feet deep! Wonder if they would have let me...

Engine Temp Gage stays at 0 (zero)

Me again... new-bee... bought my first M35A2 a couple of weeks ago and the SS Forums are my saviour! Three of four questions or issues I have posted here were answered in minutes to hours but not DAYS! as I have found in other forums. This is a powerful MV owners forum. My issue now... a...

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

I did not know fiberglass would do that! Guess that shows the strength I put into my axe blows! Well I found a shovel and pick at WalMart for like 30 bucks and the Axe (with fiberglass handle) at Tractor Supply for about $20. All fit in the rack just fine so I may leave them natural wood and...

    Chrome stack deuce?

You put a chrome stack on your deuce and you are asking to be strafed by the first enemy aircraft that comes along! Just try hiding in the woods with one of those and every passing deer will run for cover!

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

Outstanding response to my pioneer tool needs / request. I found a good picture at: Pioneer Tool Rack and Tools and an excellent description of sizes and such. If this guy isn't a SS member he certainly qualifies! I am going to buy these tools locally and make the shorter if needed just so...

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

Somewhere in my internet ramblings I was a photo of a big wood crate full of axes and another full of shovels... all painted olive drab green, obviously military issue. At the time I didn't even read the topic or associated text... could have been a WWII photo or something that survived. OR!~...

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

I don't care if they are original or authentic... in fact I'd prefer a fiberglass axe handle and shovel handle... unbreakable! Looks like a 39 inch shovel is the length I need and I will measure the rack to see what size axe and pick handle I need. I plan on painting them Olive Drab or flat black.

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

It looks like the tools at Saturn Surplus and some of the others are just brand new tools like those you'd find locally. I will try Lowe's here tomorrow. I still would like to know what all the entire inventory of pioneer tools on a well stocked Deuce or other MV would be?

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

If you know the TM- manual that addresses tools let me know as well. Thanks

Who has shovel, axe and basic tool set?

I did search the forums (briefly) for this topic and didn't find it but I'm sure it has been addressed before ---- Where can I find the tools that go in the rack above the spare tire? I believe I see a place for an Axe, Shovel and maybe a Pick? Anyone got a few extras to spare or know a...

RADAR set - where to mount on Deuce?

Maybe this is a dumb question but er.....why ya need radar on a deuce???? He needs it to aim his lazer canon which will be mounted on the roof! If that radar will detect tornados I could use one in my part of the south!

    Deuce and Starfighter

Nice photos! Got any more of those 15' GI Whip antenna's lying around? I have not seen them mounted on the deuce like that before but assume that's how they are normally mounted? I have several powerful Cobra CB radios in the basement that I could use to equip my new M35A2 with car-to-car...
