Made some progress today installed a bench seat from a 1008 added a seat cover made a big difference
also sorted out the issues with the LED headlights . Keep up on your grounding boys, it's a big deal.
only took 3 hours to do everything.
i think what your seeing is a lighting issue, the paint is fairly even over the hole truck. I did not use body panels as stop points when spraying.
As as for the evil AK in the American truck . My IWI tavor was too short and the AK you see there cost around $2900 and is a 1 moa rifle all day...
Could not resist trying to get my Russian AK-105 in the mount. And adding a tag for my love of the 100 series AK rifles.
Also took the truck into the city 100 miles a day round trip for 4 days. Zero issues besides being yelled at for driving an environmentally unfriendly ugly truck by a hipster...
I'll defiantly need pics of this .
have you you considered looking at farm equipment supplies for a pre cleaner top?
they always have weird stuff for equipment
If your doing all your own welding it might be a good idea to use nut serts welded into the pipe and through bolt it from inside the fender you could seal them with silicon it would give it a real clean look with out using clips
I looked at running mine like that but I saw an issue with the hood spring assembly. Did you find a way around that? I'm looking for options to connect it to the intake.
It looks like over all these trucks are not the best set up for water crossings but at the heart of a snorkel that's not the...
Sorry I stand corrected it was 3.5 inch for the standard on the ARB intakes. If you do a search on a site called expedition portal.com you will see guys running them from all over the world
we ran some weird set ups on landrovers in Africa. But the Diesel engines are much smaller displacement.
What are you making it out of? ive had ARB Safari snorkels on several of my jeeps. I would recomend the https://www.donaldson.com/en/engine/filters/air-intake/accessories/pre-cleaners.html
Pre-cleaner for the top of the snorkel over the "scoop" style intake. You would be amazed at what the...
I'm not sure why most of the time it won't let me post pics then when it does it dumps 3-6 of the same image.
i have some good pictures of some expedition builds that might help not to mention im building my 1009 for the same thing.
but back to the expo build. Go onto expedition portal .com...
Thanks, I'll look into it. I'm considering just rebuilding the dash with new gages but from what I can tell that gets expensive and I really like the factory look. It will need lights for sure it's completely black at night.
It's not a good idea your not evenly placing the load on the frame, you end up adding a significant amount or stress to the passenger side frame rail. You have to remember under winching situations your not just pulling the weight of your truck as dead weight your pulling the weight of the truck...
Well a bit more done today need to do some grinding and touch up paint but , that a set of 9inch ARB intensity lights. Basically the head lights are garbage and these were on my expedition built 01 Cherokee that I sold. This is there new home.
Just caught this no I'm not trying to buy the trains hahaa not my thing and I think the state owned them now.
i just want a good story and photographs.
people don't think of the north east as a place for expedition type trips but there are some amazing places and remot destinations if your...
Ha ya sorry I'm typing on an iPhone , and I've been sick taking pain meds so I'm a bit loopy.
Ive done a bunch of writing and co authored a text book so I know the value or an editor. I can tell a great story but lack the subtle art of grammar and spelling.
I always wondered if it's just...
