I have relocated my fuel tank to the bed of my truck. Will this be a problem with the fuel return line. Can the tank be higher than where the fuel return line comes out of the engine compartment. Is the return line under enough pressure to push the fuel up into the tank. Thanks.
Seth
Thanks for the quick response. So would it be safe to say I should use 5/16" everywhere except the lines on the axles going to the wheel cylinders which would be 1/4"?
Seth
Dear Fellow Members,
I am building a 4x4 out of my M35A2 and have relocated my fuel tank in my bed. I am working on plumbing up some new fuel lines yet I am confused about this mysterious 3rd line. The line from the fuel pump is my feed, than I have my return, yet I have this other small...
Dear Fellow Members,
I have recently gutted all the brake lines on my M35A2. I am replacing all the lines and simplifying them where I can. The problem originally was that someone had a bunch of mutt lines and t's. All kinds of different diameter line was used and reduced or increased to other...
James,
I just wanted to thank you for the above posted link. That is exactly what I did, I followed the manual with the mistake in it and had the two seals reversed. If you had not sent the link with the correction in it I would have been in trouble.
One more question you might know the...
Dear Fellow members,
I have just rebuilt my air pac using a rebuild kit I purchased from tnj murray. I believe i put everything back together right except for some of the internals in the slave cylinder. I took it apart too fast and let it sit for a few days...I know big mistake. Was hoping...
Dear Fellow Members,
I am installing a new brake booster on my duece which never had the lines hooked up so I wasnt able to properly indentify the lines before removing the booster. I just want to make sure I plumb up my new lines to there respective spots. The ones I am not sure on are the...
I simply wanted to gut all the old airlines, fittings, and components from the stock system and update. All my nylon tubing and push lock fittings are DOT approved, so there is no problem there. The only thing that I am stuck on is the pressure regulator. Floridianson.....I have purchased a...
Thanks floridianson for the quick response. I am assuming the bendix d-2 governor is a recommended replacement over the stock unit? My pressure regulator on the truck now is definetly not the bendix unit. If you think this will work for me I will pick one up. Any idea on what these run. Also...
Dear Fellow Members,
I was wondering if any one could help educate me on the air system of the m35a2. I am making a 4x4 out of my duece and have decided to clean out all the clutter in my frame. I have removed all the copper air lines and have decided to go with nylon tubing and push lock...
Here for sale is a 1978 Kaiser M35A2 Military Vehicle. 6x6, multifuel straigh six cylinder which will burn diesel, gas, av-gas, keroseen, veg. oil, etc. This Duece is a non turbo version and runs great. I have a clean and clear maryland title for the truck. I have recently replaced front brake...
Does anyone know what manual explains whhel removal, brake replacement, wheel cylinder replacement and axle seal replacement. I am new to the duece world and would like to freshen up some things, yet need a little help. Thanks.
Dear Members,
I recently purchased my first m35a2 and am currently trying to freshen up everything. I would like to change the oil. I have the filters and 30w oil yet I read on here that it is very important to tighten the filters down to specs. I dont have a manual. Can anyone tell me how much...
