I don't know ANYTHING about this place... just heard that it exsists and shouldn't be that far away... Byrd's Adventure Center in Cass, AR
I too have been around kids on ATVs and I do not enjoy it. Still looking forward to meeting you all though.

Thinkin about putting an OD green rattlecan finish on my suburban... I'm on the fence though.. I'm affraid it might come out looking junky... How many cans do you think it would take to cover an old suburban? And how hard is it going to be to paint over the chrome? Never done that before.

I was watching some trucks but they all went to high for me(read: not a steal).
Jason: I don't know how you're planning on getting the 105s home, but if you'd like help with one I'd follow you up in my F250 if you cover my gas.

ARRESTED?? How about "Thanks for showing up with a vehicle capable of dealing with the situation at hand. Here's a deputy, go check the flooded area for stranded people."
What's the country coming to?
Front will be a 10 bolt, similar to Dana 44.. Rear will be a semi floating 14 bolt. They will most likely support your truck just fine, but they're not "heavy duty" axles by any means.
For the rear track down a fully floating 14 bolt, cheap and strong. Front well.. that's up to you (Or your...
If I was gonna put a plow on a deuce and do driveways and commercial property I'd do a 10' Boss SuperDuty and add some wings to it. Granted that's going to take a custom mount and some special wiring, which is why I didn't respond to the thread as soon as you posted it. I would NOT use a...

Mike: tell me about pulling the body from the Suburban? What exactly made it so difficult? I was thinking about pulling my very rusted body from my suburban and then putting on a 3+3 cab and fabbing up a short little flatbed for the...
Well I made it.. Got into Fayetteville last Sunday after a truely horrible drive from Jersey. F250 with about 800lbs in the bed, towing a 7500gvw tag trailer with at least 9000lbs on it.. 55-60mph the whole way.... being followed by my wife, mother-in-law and 2 month old baby in my wife's...
Anti-sway bars are VERY nice. But the real problem was not having enough weight on the tongue.. and he couldn't put more on because the F150 wouldn't handle it well. I tow my 3/4 ton suburban on a smallish(similar to his) tag trailer all the time.. but I do it with an F350 with quite a bit of...
I looked at that auction 15 times... if it was 2 months from now I would have bid on it.. just bad timing. It's a great lookin truck, I love the mods you've done. Really can't wait to see what you come up with for the HEMTT.
You going to go the "resto-mod" route on the HEMTT too? Or try to...
That looks terrible. I'm sorry for your loss, but glad you guys made it out ok. Also glad you didn't damage the tow rig. Some friends of mine lost two mud trucks, a 34' gooseneck, and an F350 on some black ice back in Febuary. Insurance would only cover the F350.
Nice of the tow guys to...
RE: I
But when a vendor advertises the truck as "just serviced" "drive it home" ... I've read the good and the bad about Alfa Heaven. I wouldn't say avoid them, but I'd be very careful about any truck I bought from there. They sure do look nice on the web page.

Just to pull up an old post here... In this pic what he didn't tell me back in October is that he was IN this thing when it got hit.. Flipped the whole truck upside down, front over back. He was sitting towards the rear, said he had no injuries AT ALL. Driver got a black eye, probably from...
I was just there on the 27th.. My first time. I wheeled my '78 Suburban which fit fine on all of the trails we did. A deuce would be tight, it could be done, but it would be tight. I think it would REQUIRE some previous offroading experience. I got some body damage, but that was trying a...
That's a good looking truck. I drool on the alfa heaven page once or twice a month. I gotta get moved before I buy anything. What type of problems have you had? I know you said nothing serious but I'm curious.
