I am seeing you at Findlay to pick up seat cover and am driving through Ann Arbor on my way to Findlay. I will have a pretty much empty M101A2 trailer with me.
I recently put unique 16x7 model 297-7780 with BFG 265/75R/16E1 on my M1031, they are great especially in all the snow I have been driving through. My data show the Unique Model 42 is for 15", you might want to check on that.
My M1031 averages 11.1 mpg with most of my driving on country roads with some on the interstate. I have only pulled my trailer an 18 mile round trip so did not track the mileage. This week I replaced my rims and tires from LT235/85R-16E Steel Belted Radials to LT265/75R 16E1 BFG All Terrain on...
No argument here, I stated my truck was set for plates but I have been hanging my trailer plate off of the trailer with bungee. Now I can just keep that plate in my truck.
My truck is set up for plates but up till now I have been hanging my trailer plate off the back end with bungee. I will interpret this to mean as long as I have trailer plate in the truck I am good to go.
I set my solar panels on my dashboard and plug one into my lighter socket and the other has a lead line that is a quick disconnect. I did not want my solar panels mounted on my vehicle as I use them for other things, also leaving them out is one more temptation for someone to break into my...
I have had my truck for 10 months and encountered the dreaded death wobble for the first time two days ago. Holy ****! It has to be experienced to truly appreciate what it is really like. Thanks to all for the advice. My front right tire was 7 oz. off. I have now driven it through every bump I...

No pictures yet, I have only seen truck after dark. My next post will have pictures and a request for help/info. Dead tired drove over 2200 miles to get my rides drag. Towed beautifuly behind my Silverado. Used magnetic lights on the trailer. thanks for the suggestion.
As quickly as I possibly can manage, my 1986 M1031 contact maintenace will be in my yard within the next two days. I will also be picking up two Willard Co mobility shipping contqainers so that I can store Gasoline, Diesel and Kerosene away from any of my permanent structures. From the pictures...
Wanted to thank all of the members for the wealth of information on this site. The information helped me decide on the vehicle and trailer I wanted. Also gave me a fair pricing range for what I bid on through GL. I am now awaiting the approval of my EUCs.
Tornadogt,
Thanks, that is probably the way I will do the initial haul. It will save me a bit on fuel using my Silverado for the trip to pick up the trailer.
I will soon need to tow a M101A2 Trailer with my Silverado, what is the best way to setup a temporary electrical connection?
The trailer will be used with my soon to be aquired M1031 so I don't want to make a permanent change to the trailer connection.
First post for me, I have searched the...
