A few video clips I pieced together of the Half-track. Mostly me playing around with my camera settings again, but figured why not post it.
Just send me a PM with the email address you would like me to send it to and I'll be glad to. The email button on steel soldiers does not appear to allow attachments, and PM's seem to only allow pictures from websites to be included.
Here are some of the pictures I took. I was having a bit of fun playing around with the different filters my camera after I discovered my camera had that feature.
I received your email and will contact you Tuesday or Wednesday when I should have every thing figured out. Assuming that my co worker won't be going, and my truck won't be done in time, meeting up with you will be easy. If it wasn't for it probably illegal, you wouldn't even need to get off the...
@olbucksnort thanks for the offer, but Bowling Green is a lot farther than I am currently willing to drive the mini, and if I work out transportation to there, then I'd probably be able to get transported all the way to Graves Mountain. I do have a coworker that may be interested in going up...
That truck was my daily driver, so that leaves me only my 72 Mini to drive, which is not yet in a condition to do long trips. Actually it's not really in a condition that I'd consider good just to drive too and from work as I am now. It would also have the issue of the lack of space to pack...
Sadly I don't think I'll be able to make it this year, since my truck's engine self destructed. I have a replacement ordered and it should be here next week, But I doubt I'll be able to get it installed on time to make it.
A big issue is I live in an apartment complex and they would probably frown on me trying to do major work on my truck in the parking lot.
Looking around the web I found one site selling a 6.2 for $1700 with a 5 year unlimited miles full warranty, though I'd have to swap over pretty much every...
Does Any one have any experience doing engine swaps? About how much does a new 6.2 go for, or maybe a 6.5 (since if I decide to just swap out the engine it may make sense to go for an upgrade, though at the cost of fuel efficiency it might not be worth it) if it can be bolted straight up to the...
I am pretty sure it's not the flex plate due to the fact that the engine will still crank. One or two cylinders would touch off, though die pretty much as soon as let off the starter ( wasn't cranking more then 1-2 seconds nor giving it any gas, since I was not actually planning on trying to run...
Well I was driving Back from visiting my father in NJ last night when something broke in the engine. As I was driving back I had thought the engine was making an odd noise, but when ever I would turn off my radio and try to listen to it there didn't seem to be any thing out of the ordinary. I...
Sounds like the U joints to me. They are cheep and easy to replace, so even if it's not the problem I would replace them anyway. I had started getting a vibration in my truck, and when I pulled the u joints the spindles in one of them had been ground into a powder.
I just put together the Army Equipment Record Folder with proper documents for my truck. When I had bought the truck the empty log book had been sitting in the back. It's been sitting around my place since and figured I mine as well put it to use.
opps, sorry I did not mean to steal what you just said with an edit. After I had hit post, I remembered him mentioning that he was in Alaska, and that it probably really cold there. When I was living in Montana I know we were starting to get some really cold days around this time of year ( I...
Did you swap out all the glow plugs or just the 4 bad ones? Personally if I had 4 bad 'd swap them all.
Also how cold is it out there when you are trying to start it, and what temperatures are you seeing at night at night. After a certain point your truck will start to struggle even if the...
