Unplug the wire to the radio noise suppressor on the side of the truck and plug it directly into the wiper motor. It's useless, and has been known to slow down your wiper motor under certain circumstances. Just another little nook and cranny CUCV thing.
Check GP's, do bypass and good to go. Glad you are on the road. You're right there, might as well bypass the wiper suppressor as well if you haven't already.
Do a search here for tiny tach and it might lead you to some help. I've always been curious about my rpm's, not like it would change my driving, but still.
I understand the procedure and the reasons for doing so having just done it myself this week while putting new GP's in. What I don't understand is why his resistor is smoking if he bypassed it?
Finally got around to the GP resistor bypass. Also changed all the spade connectors and put in 8 new AC 60g's. She hasn't been able to start in a week, even plugged in. Only one was pretty swollen, but was able to gently pry it out without snapping the tip. Of course it was the passenger...
I had the same problem and switched to a circuit breaker as well. Still happens. Looking to do the headlight rewire in the near future. I wish the thread was updated with the wiring diagram, but it's locked.
Is it possible to permanently collapse the lh toolbar (sponsors, posts, wiki)? I can click the arrow and it will do so, but it's only a single occasion. Each click on a post or forum page resets it.
Thanks.
