When I worked at the forest service, we had a M548 variant that was desert tan and from the gulf war and on the inside of the large rear door was a palm tree logo also similar to the Afrika Corp logo but had a camel in the middle and had the words Camel Corp stenciled under or above the logo.
One more I just found.

Cut off the old engine and pump mounts today. Pulled the fuel tank and filter set up off yesterday. Removing some unnecessary weight. I plan to relocate the lifting rings that were on the rear. Next is a good bath and freshen up the paint. Gotta find a couple of tires as these are rotten...
I have a similar electric pump that I have used for the same thing. And I have recently acquired a military fuel filter and valve/switch that came off a water pump trailer. I might have to rig me up one of these set ups.
Lifting rings look like the same rings I have on a marine corp trailer. And the little tires look like something from an airfield. Not much help I know but those are the things I see to start off.
If evenly distributed that's only 60lbs per individual upright. The side board brackets should hold it I think. But I don't know that the wooden cargo cover bows would hold up to it.
By the way, they had this there also. So this trailer was a usmc pump trailer. It had a Detroit Diesel engine and a great big water pump. Mine is a 1983 Parkhurst and the model is MOON1F. The frame is definitely heavier built than a m101. One other thing I found interesting is the axle has...
