Looks like mine has a 4ga wire going from front battery to (-) bus. Also has a 12-14ga wire going from same terminal to the body of the truck.. Seems like it needs a bigger wire going to the chassis, but i haven't seen if the (-) bus goes to the engine or chassis anywhere.

no air bubbles where?
Where should I be looking for the pure fuel?
I just finished installing the starter. Had to "fabricate" (read: decimate) the bracket to fit the 12V starter. It felt good to have it in there so solid, though..
Now I just have to fabricate some battery cables. The (-)...
Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm really a novice so this is all golden to me.
I parked it 18 months ago when one of my batteries failed. It was in the middle of cranking (had been daily driver up to then) and it just died right in the middle of a crank.
I tried to diagnose the problem-...
Besides lots of prayer, of course.
This truck has been sitting for probably 18 months.
What are the standard jobs to do?
I'm expecting to hear alot about fuel filters and such.
Thanks,
J
Why does this have to be the case? The bracket that is. Is that how the starter is grounded? Does it not get a good enough ground from the 2 big bolts that go into the engine block?
Thanks,
J
Got a product recommendation? I might be interested in a new relay since I'm going through the 12V conversion.
J
ps, I've been away awhile, but I like the new site.
will do. But I wonder if it might be a fuse or relay do to the fact that I had no problems before, and the problem was abrupt while starting- rather than running. The batteries seem to fine, but I'll check that too.
J
ps, the glow plug wait light doesn't come on either and I don't here a buzz ( now I can't even remember if you're supposed to hear a buzz, thats how long its been )

bump this thread. This sounds similar to my problem(s):
A few months ago my m1009 was my daily driver. Then, I was starting it trying to get home from work, the starter turned for about 0.8 seconds and completely/abruptly died. Backstory: I installed my own push-button (actually...
ok, thanks for all the help with this guys. Given my planned use for these tires I have pretty much decided to go with the BFGs. Now my question is this, 10.50s or 12.50s (I'll be doing 33in diameter). I just talked to a guy down the street with a rig much better than mine that seems to...
just seems like bfg is the only one that makes the 33x10.50. I really want 33s that will fit on my stock rims. know of any other companies that do that size?
J
Thanks man, That price quote a few posts up is for the 33x10.50's. Your truck looks great of course. I guess I should go with the 11.50s- whaddaya think? Also, tell me more about the gear ratio stuff- what kind of difference will I notice?
J
What about these?

No, I wasn't able to call Kenny before they closed. I tried, but my work phone doesn't reach that far apparently. I'll hold off for...
