The brakes on an M37 are tough to love, even in a totally stock configuration.
The dual M/C (GM product?) conversion will give you a lot of 'bang for your buck'; those M/C's were used on hundreds of thousands of vehicles over the years.
It's just a relatively picky braking system, that really...
I am interested in seeing whatever you do to hold down the Optimas. I have the exact same setup; same batteries and box. Let me know if you have something custom made, I may be interested in doing the same thing.
For what minimal amount I can remember, I met a gentleman at a car show in NY, who had Historical plates on his M37. The plate began with a HX-00000.
I wasn't bored enough to talk registration... Anyhow, Not sure what this gains or subtracts for you, but I saw it once.
But for real, I think it was flex-a-lite who made some 24V electric fans. Try searching the web for that brand. Not sure if they are waterproof, though.
Allright, just bought the rears. Who can steer me in the right direction for the fronts now? I don't want to spend 132.00/ each; but I can understand if they aren't 23.00/ each, too....
How many fan blades should be on the fan of my '54 M37? Presently, it has a 6 blade fan, which does not interfere with the shroud at all.
Am I getting a significant amount of drag from the extra blades I suspect I have?
Who knows when or why it got swapped out; what is correct? And is there...
This is how it works:
Buy the M715, and in less than a year, you will find a M37.
At least that's how it worked for me. Either way, you will love them both.
