Re: RE: Duece fiberglass hardtop.
Mine has some serious holes in it and along the front windshield flange and the bottom where it meets the tub you can bet a beer can is thicker. When I get one, I will keep you in mind.
If this economy keeps up, I just might use mine as a template and build...
Thank you very much medlog. I will post those shortly.
As for the fun makers to the newer guys on the block..... :P

Well, so far it looks like OD Iron and Jatonka are hard to beat. The multifuel engine oil ports are just about a pain in the .. to tap into to use a universal filter setup. I am throwing in the towel.I am giving up trying to reinvent the wheel.
So...
Jatonka is the simplist. OD Iron lets you...
Hey there.
Does anyone know of a great place to procure a tow bar for my duece? I have been looking at bidding on anouther duece or five ton, and I want to tow it home. My car hauler won't handle it.
The rust monster has been hungry!! My restoraton-repaint on my duece has produced a sad sight for my steel hardtop. I see the light in many places. (right though the steel!) It does not look like it is worth fixing, so replacing is looking like the road to go.
Does anyone know where I...
I don't know. I think OD Iron is great. However, my wooden shoes and I are investigating an alternative budgit minded version. Maybe I come up all thumbs... I will post when I give up or when I find something. I just want something whereas I don't get a bath changing my filters and I get spin-on...
regarding my last post. I apologise. I usually am only on this site while at work during break and I am too stupid to remember complete addresses of my contacts at prestolite otherwise I would have just posted phone numbers and addresses etc.
Usually the voltage regulator goes sour on these. PM me and I will get you the address to a source in Pontiac Mi. that makes them. Pop off the back cover (voltage reg) and check with a multi meter your diode trio. you should get continuity one way and not the other on all three, if so, then...
Sorry, I run synthetic in mine. I came accross a killer deal on five pails of it for cheap and so that is just what I use. Pigs run very cool with the stuff. T-case likes it too. No the guy I got the deal from realized his mistake and won't sell it that cheap anymore.
Fudge the government with a fist! Here in Michigan we have a lovely little plate that lets any numb noggin drive about anything without a CDL. Ahh the blessed log/farm plate. It has some restrictions and some extra freedoms. But is cheeper than a commercial plate and a CDL. Oh, and 2-1/2 tons...
Hey, I put buth a 90 and a 45 on mine and it snakes up more closely to the exhaust far a nice clean look. Sorry, no pic yet. Fudged my camera with butterfingers and a mud puddle... aua
I have been to a few Caterpillar tech schools on thier diesels and they say that the oil will in time (a long time) will etch the crank journals if you go without periodic sampling. Or, just change it from time to time. Sampling is the better choice. :D
Re: RE: 12.5 x 20s
I agree about the look of duals. However, I took off my inners to discover better fuel usage and better accelleration. I you sipe and groove them, they will love you for it.
