Very good point, thanks! I'd be very interested to learn what specific design features a well-made rack should have in that regard. I'm not sure how a rack would protect a windshield, other than by installation of a wire grid I suppose.

I don't know how things work in CA these days (or if they even work at all), but I took the CA RV title for my M1079 and re-titled it in WA today as a motorhome without any issues. Given its current paucity of abode accoutrements, it is currently undergoing a "home renovation."

As one who has flown dead-stick at night, and also spent many hours soaring paragliders well past civil twilight, that is not technically accurate, but still that must have been a helluva adventure flying the Waco gliders!
